Roughly 6 hours spent at Reading, mostly on the platforms at Reading West but a couple of shots from General. Had a good day freight wise but oh the weather was terrible. Enjoy.
Colin you did well on many counts, you stuck with the poor weather, and you had six hours there which I couldn't do. For six hours it seamed there wasn't as much freight about on that day, but still a entertaining watch, Mike.
Yes a place i've been meaning to visit for a while after seeing some of Mikes footage from there. Unfortunatly picked a day when it wouldn't stop raining all day but the freight action is very good. Thanks for watching Pete, take care mate, Colin.
Great video Colin and congratulations you reach up to 600 subscribers. Well done and keep up the good work plus thanks for sharing. All the best, Arnold
Fantastic freight action and always guaranteed there Colin! Some heavy weight workings there but was suprised no 59's? Quite sure they must operate along that line. As always great filming and superb tones on that crossover, was that the db or the Darth Freightliner or even both responsible? Really enjoyed, have a great week cheers Nick.
Hi Nick and thanks for your kind words my friend. The tones were from both the DB and FL drivers to each other i think, sounded good though. As for the lack of 59s well if you'd said to me you won't see any i'd have said don't be daft, but the only one i saw (59103) rolled through just as our train was pulling out to take us home. Still, apart from the awful weather it was a good day and a summer visit is a must i think. Take care and stay safe mate, all the best, Colin.
Well the weather was for the ducks that day ..... but was good to get to see class 70's in action and the company was good too, I think we be back in warmer times and with 3 or 4 trains now stopping an hour its a viable spot ......
