This is a great invention and I can see the potential of many different attachments kind of like the bobcat steer loader in the early 60's. Congratulations!
Oh, man, could I really use one of those things! When my sons are home, I can always count on them to help me move around the trailers and cars that I'm working on. But when they're gone, it's darn near impossible to do that kind of stuff on my own. A rig like this would be so nice for moving vehicles in various running conditions in and out of the garage. Nice job!
This is the coolest thing I've seen on here in a while. Have you thought of contacting the military to see if they would be interested in it's application to some of their needs? Just this past Thursday we watched a driver drop his right front tire off a ramp while trying to get a trailer mounted generator off a truck. That wasn't the first time, and won't be the last. I can definitely see where your invention would be a big help. I know from experience that the patent process is a long and expensive process, now it's time to look at all available markets. Great idea, and the best of luck to you.
Great toy around the farm, you have great imagination. It has very few applications for practical farm use, but none the less it is a great innovation. Walk behind tractors have been around for decades and have faded away. Think future!!! Electric. Also small applications community gardens etc .wheel barrow attachments small cultivators and so on. But No Noisy Piston Engines. And something a 60 year old male or female retiree could operate. Good luck.
Nice idea. An addition that may be helpful would be a seat and standard controls mounted above the fuel tank. This way it could be used as a std 'truck' you mount the dump body that I saw in the background. The remote is great but it just dosn't give the fine controls that are needed sometimes. This is the trade off you get in order to keep the remote very small. With the hydraulics that you have I suspect you can run the dump body and a log splitter and any number of other tools. You could easily add a second set of driven wheels using the same attaching points and make a small rear steer loader. The more I think about it the more adaptations I can envision for it! bravo!
Mr Anomilus , You may have said that jokingly but that really is possible, I have to say of all the things i see on you tube this has impressed me the most,, I can see so many ways in which this machine can be used,, Farms, Whare houses, etc,, I mean just think , your in a whare house , you know where everything is ,you got this machine hooked up to your lap top, you need to get something, hey just sit in you office and used your lap top, Thats so cool, and it would work, You could make like three different styles, and sizes, He has done the hard part, and it works,, This thing should really take off, I love it,, Men and there Toys,, We love em,,lol
Love the tractor Idea but a proper joy stick controller would be a lot better and easier to control. An R/C style frequency hopping control would make it safer too. Skid steer style steering would make the turning radius tighter. COOL rig though!
thats fucking cool. I have been using an old Subaru wagon to pull and push my trailers out of the barn and smaller tasks like that. Easier to move around than a larger truck. Now I am gonna be building that, or something similar.
Hey the man said he changed the dam remote, Its a new invention I'm sure he knows what the hell hes doing, You people make comments about something and you couldn't build a dog house, Sure there's room for improvement but hes doing it already,, sheees
if you could build a heavier duty model, I could see it working out well for parking manufactured homes... many of the sites are too small for a full-size truck to place the mobile home into position. My brother-in-law uses a remote controlled crawler that was built specifically for this purpose… He paid about 60 grand for it
Dang, what a great idea. You could probably sell that idea to the police as a bomb removal vehicle. I'll bet it's pretty handy around the ranch too. What kind of range do you have with that remote?
This is a really cool invention except for that button control. you need to use a regular remote for rc cars/planes. they are more versatile and would definitely be a lot easier to control. not to mention safer
I think the only thing I would change is the remote. try looking at a remote for an rc airplane. then you can change throttle maybe brakes, and control the loader arms remotely. most importantly it'd give you a kill switch, and if it gets out of range you can make it do what ever you want such as stop or shut off.
That is really cool, but it is VERY unwise to stand between the machine and the trailer. You stumbled while backing, what if you had dropped the control or the control had jammed? I didn't hear mention of a deadman switch, your control clicks up and down in steps.
Great Design! Good Implementation! What was your initial motivation for doing this besides the great turning radius and short wheel base? for moving stuff around I get it being awesome!! but for normal farm work where you are bring in hay or crops in from a field ... would you want to walk all that distance? and would it not slow you down if your field was a ways off?
I don't get it , why not just use your pickup, atv, utv or tractor plus you have to weld extra pieces on every trailer and when your load arms get to 90 degrees they'll dump on your head or on the unit itself.
oh shiz all you need are bailer forks, well done hay geek and a maure spreader and a hay chopper,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, oh snap there goes the crank case john deere is gonna put a hit out on you this would work great moving mobil homes in trailer courts
+Hardwoods91 If you haven't noticed.. He is a farmer (obviously for most people watching this). Like he said, it's much easier than backing up a truck plus it's compact size and versatility that a truck just can't always give. It would be great on farms and I agree on construction sites as well.
Hahaha.....a little awkward isn't it? This thing can seriously injure somebody. One thought: have you considered putting a tongue guide with a stop plate on it so you don't overshoot the hitch?
+Thomas R. Miller Part of the design is to allow multiple units to be hooked together my next video shows them hooked together see (marks robotic tractor)
