The fill check plug doesn’t have to be completely removed, only loosened. The oil drips out the hole in the bottom of the fitting

The tractor should be positive ground. Automotive electric should be hooked up ground last. House electric should be hooked up ground first. So the negative goes to the starter, hooked up first. Then the positive goes to the ground, hooked up last. You probably need to mechanical solenoid to the starter.
