Tractor Pull - John Deere 4010 vs Red Oak 

Lovely to see a bit of father/son interaction dealing with those trees, and it's heartwarming to see woodhound senior teaching the little boss-man to drive a tractor safely.

Back in the "Back 40" with Wood Hound Sr. always gets my attention. Father and son working together solving problems and getting the job done is what makes life worth living.

Them trees will definitely make some premium firewood. With the way the log markets are nowadays you are exactly correct on being worth more in firewood. Stay safe my friend

Reminded me of helping my grandpa cut wood with his jd 2030 and B. Great memories made for LBM as well. That battery saw was working well to....they definitely have their places.

hi there the best part was LBM at the end , just nice , as for the logs sawmill VS firewood if you dont have a use for the lumber firewood is the way to go , then it is the only way to go . well done getting them out . next show better helping your dad cutting them up and splitting them , john

Like how your Old Man uses just enough tractor power To do job & no more, to avoid breaking some thing. Running roughshod-Full bore can be expensive & dangerous. Any of the neighbors there have a rubber tire Arch you could borrow to get that log butt off ground. You could do the same thing w/snatch-block & enough wire rope & ladder to get high enough on tree with snatch block to lift butt off ground, just an idea I use when I gather firewood. Grandad coachin up next generation of tractor operator- Thumbs Up- Good watch there were several good watch parts to this video
