Thank you for watching. This tractor belongs to a farm I grew up by and helped inspire Big Tractor Power.

It was a different time. 200 hp was big for a row crop but 90 hp tractors for right in too.

The 4850 is a 1980’s great. The 466 engine has a great sound.

The 4850 is one of the stand out tractors of the 1980’s. 👍👍

The John Deere 466 engine has a great sound.

The Sound Gard design defined John Deere for 17 years. To me they are Hohn Deere.

Very nice. The 4755 is a great tractor. If you notice in the opening clip the 4850 cris crosses with another Sound Gard. That second tractor on another 455 drill is a 2wd 4755. Is you your Bob Roller from Bob Equipment that made the kidney beans combines? It would be great to meet you. @@bigtractorpower I was wondering which model that one was in the background. Is that volkmans? Ya probably can’t say. Yes, bobs equipment from Stanley manufactured it. We used to raise light red kidneys and that’s why we bought it...to firm up and provide a nice level seed bed. Will you be here around pageant of steam time? I’d love to show you our tractors if you were ever interested. We have 10 JD classics ranging from a 3020 gas side console up to an 8300.

I still do. Every Friday I put out a tractors at work video that is just 5 minutes of a tractor working. It’s a series of videos on the channel using footage where I did not have 10 minutes filmed to included additional narration. Often when I arrive at a field there are a few passes left and it allows limited filming time. These 5 minute videos allow for unused footage to be shared. Yes the entire 50 series was introduced in New Orleans at the annual dealer meeting in 1982. Later this year I will have a 40 years of 50 Series video.

Yeah let's throw the mufflers away then use the same tractor for 20 years straight then wind up with hearing loss. 🙄🤦‍♂️

ear protection is cheap. mufflers greatly raise the center of gravity, thus making it more susceptible to rollover.

The 466 can crank out some horse power. I go by the sales brochure numbers but no doubt this tractor can pull.

@@bigtractorpower they sure can john deere and IHs 466s were some of the best ag motors ever produced in my opinion

The 466 sires does have a great growl.
