I’m a Chevy guy but I love these trucks on the channel. I generally run stock tires but I run a normal stance on my 01. I keep that front end down just to stick it to the squatter boys.
I run a duplex setup for rear wheels/tires. Interco tires 36x14x16.5 on a 12" rim from Stockton Wheel. Tires have the same weight load as a pair of duals, they ride smoother with only 2 sidewalls vs. 4, and stay in balance better.
Hey Sam, can't fly without a fly wheel. Shame about the red truck. Nice about the frame. Blue truck looks good. Soon you will have to make another "I have 12 of the same truck video". Steve
Too bad it didn’t have the flywheel. Heck yeah, this was an exciting video. I think the 04 looks better and has more class with the stock chrome simulator wheels. Those with some nice MT tires would look sweet on it. I seen the blue truck has a sticker on the bumper from the shop Big Red customs from Gardnerville NV. Not too far from where I live.
with just a bit bigger tire on the stocks will look great, personally i hate the look of those giant semi wheels, dont know why people like them honestly. I like 16 and 17 inch rims, not a fan of 18s + on older trucks.
Purely For looks is definitely a ridiculous reason. The reason I put them on my 07 2500 in a single rear wheel configuration is because with regular 10 ply tires I burn them off too fast. The service box has the rear axle at about 7500lbs before I even hook up a trailer. Not ideal, but I’m making due with what I got. 🤷
Lol I towed that red truck to his house. I picked it up from some junk yard in sac and they loaded it with a massive fork lift onto his flat bed trailer that I took down there. It was a friends of his truck if I remember right and after it got wrecked he bought it back and sold it to him and he paid me to go pick it up. I towed it behind my red dodge that looked just like the wrecked one. I had a picture somewhere but I can’t find it.
I looked at a truck for the first time in a long time today. 2017 Tradesman, dually 4X4, electric xfer case, p-windows, posi 3.73, and 6 speed manual. The drivers seat had a big rip and the stuffing hanging out. 100,000 miles. The guy wanted $45,000 and was firm there! And it is a W-NY truck, although not much visible rust. I thought too much $$!! Any thoughts? 8-/ --gary
Seems like a lot for a rusty northeast truck. I paid 39 for my 14 a few months ago in Montana. 6 speed, srw 3500 4x4 tradesman. Deleted and tuned 80k miles pretty mint
I was at the tire shop yesterday talking about putting 19.5 tires and wheels on my 3500 dually. They talked me out of it because all the guys around here that have done that complain the ride quality went to hell. What is your take on that?
