That looks so much better, sounds so much better and hopefully brakes so much better. Grandmas truck is really looking good. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
In my opinion (never a good way to kick off a comment), grandmas truck would look SICK with a set of pocket style flares on the front fenders. Will give it an aggressive look and take up some of the “poke” from 10” wheels. Such a sweet build. I’m inspired!!
I ran those same exact nexen 305 55 20 on my 2012 Ram 2500 Cummins, I was towing quite a bit and I ran them for 62 k miles and cut a sidewall. They were great for wear and highway use, not so much for traction in mid or wet grass. Had to know my boundaries but I was very well pleased with them. Good luck
Now give grandma a ride. And let her drive if she feels like it. Sam looks good both ways. Thats what is cool about Dodge trucks. Personalize with so many different considerations. Ole girl looks killer. Sounds better than my straight pipe 2500 24V 5 spd 4×4. Really good video. 2 thumbs like button.
I'm doubled up on the back with 2" spacers. One on the hub and one between. Never had an issue in the over 200k miles and 26k gross weight. I physically tried breaking them offroad and some other crazy stuff(obviously not on the roadway) and these things just hold up well. If they're torque'd and a good quality spacer you really shouldn't have an issue.
Turn your switch to right, easy to operate with ring finger and wont hit dash. To keep the switch from rattling, get a black hair tie from Taylor. Make a loop around shifter and then go over shaft of switch. Mine is nice and quiet.
Real nice truck. Just my ideas. Really want to see under bed toolbox. Not the standard large square ones but but a slim like 8 or 10 inch tall mounted under bed. And custom mudflaps with logo. Flag across headache rake.
Love the new wheels🤘🏻 but I’d still put like a 1” hub- sentric spacer on the back to bring it at least flush with the wheel wells, but it’s not my truck so🤷🏼♂️ dude it’s like you need to take your wheels to a shop that does like 22”x14” forged wheels or bigger so you know they’re careful and have experience with wheels that aren’t shit stockers, otherwise something is always going to come back dinged, scratched or broken. It’s actually pathetic that a regular wheel shop can’t do quality work. I’ve had 3 different sets gets messed up from 3 different places, all I’ve called beforehand and asked if they were capable. 🤦🏼♂️ but now I have a spot I can finally not worry about. 👍🏻 grandmas truck sounds awesome 🤘🏻
The Duals looked cool, but those wheel spacers were kinda scary... Looks better, and is functional now... If you wanna do dually later u can slap a 1 ton axle under it...Better yet... 5 ton axles front and rear on another project truck?????
Sam, I’ve got that same exhaust on my 99’ 24v, diamond eye is great and straight pipe as well. What turbo do you have on that???? Stock or one size larger?
I like the changes to Gma's truck and like that you shifted to a mixture of old and new as far as look and function. The truck is Kinda a restomod . I get it, I have a 2001 F-550 with 2004 front end and a few other things that up date the look. One thing that bothers me about your truck and it may be OCD related, Please move the mud flaps forward closer to the rear tires.
The spacer in the rear was probably the harmonics you were feeling when you thought the rear end was going out. Singles... meh, there ok, I'm sure you appreciate the ride a lot more. You have your dedicated tow rigs, so your still good to go. Is that exhaust brake worth it, does it hold back much, been debating on one???
Definitely looks good, buuuuuut! It is a little narrow in the rear end. So I vote for a 40" or 44" continental super single set up some time soon. Asap actually. Please.
