Latest are a traditional Jewish dish made for Hanukkah. They serve them with sour cream or applesauce.Sometimes they add cheese or green onion when they make them.
Latkes pronounced lat-kuz are a Jewiah staple for Hanukkah. Even though it is a Yiddish word it derives from the Russian word meaning small pancake. As shown on the box they are traditionally eaten with sour cream or applesauce.
@@selfself8813 perhaps that may very well be the case. But I have been living all my life in a very highly populated Hasidic community and just based on my knowledge they pronounce it more with an a sound. Of course pronunciation may vary where you reside.
We felt the same about the frozen strawberry cheesecake. We didn’t care for it at all and I took it back. I think because I make fresh cheesecake all the time, having it frozen just made it… seem off.
I’m blown away by this combo. I never would have guessed. I’m going to have to try this with applesauce. I unfortunately can’t stand sour cream so that’s a hard no for me
@@Mrs_Turner2013 thank you yeah I drive a semi so I listen I can’t really pay much attention to the phone. I do most of my time listening but thank you.
My brother had a heart attack at a young age and sadly didn’t survive. Brett blames it on the kombucha. I hope that’s what it is but please please Amanda tell him to call his doctor tell him to get a check up explain to the doctor what happened and let the doctor decide if he should go do a test! Just in case It’s worth saving his life!
I'm not sure if I mentioned it in the last videos comment section or at another time but kombucha is only supposed to be something one drinks for therapeutic purposes. Approximately no more than half a glass is supposed to be consumed per day. That's why they are never sold in massive bottles but in smaller bottles where it can be finished within 2 to 3 days. I had a feeling he was going to drink it all in one sitting and I was worried about that. Kombucha is not the equivalent to all those sparkling waters and energy drinks. It really does wonders for the gut but needs to be taken in small doses everyday.
Thanks so much for the great info as always. Brent read your comment and told me about it first. He will definitely not drink the whole thing next time
@@Mrs_Turner2013 thank you for getting back to me. For sure anybody can work their way up to at least 12 oz a day but no more than that. I just suspect it gave him that type of side effect because it was his first time. It has been known to cause upset stomach or nausea for somebody who may just be starting on it. Now as for the kombucha with alcohol in it I have to say that is very new to me as it was to you guys. I don't know much about it so I don't know if it actually carries the same properties as a non-alcoholic kombucha. Now that being said, there's always a small trace of alcohol in kombucha because of the fact that it is fermented which is why you taste that fizzy sour taste. Keep up the great work, I love watching both of you in your videos, you are a great team.
