Hey Ava it’s been 5 years since you watched this video, have you continued with trading and crypto? If so have you made it in life with crypto? If you didn’t continue with crypto why not?
@@claytrader Day trading is a nice way of putting a bank runner. Bank running. My bank calling me up one day and asking for the balance of my car loan back is impossible. But Stocks are not loaning money. Stocks are Ponzi Scheme. Ponzi Scheme's nickname is rob Peter to pay Paul. 50 winners and 50 losers. You trade to try to he the 50% winners. Buying stocks makes the stocks go up and selling stocks makes the stocks go down. Buying into a Ponzi Scheme makes the scheme go up. And selling the scheme makes the scheme go down. And try to be the winners of the scheme. You are not after customer's profits. You are not after bringing a new product to life. Just bank running.
This is the 3rd video I've watched on day trading and it finally makes total sense to me. He says it so simply, I don't know why other people make it so complicated.
Hey clay thank you very much. I’ve had money sitting in investments but just let them sit there. Which hasn’t hurt me. At the same rate it’s not really helping me attain my goals. These videos have helped me learn more about the stock market than what I’ve learned or had explained to me in years. It’s very commendable that you share your knowledge. Knowledge can help lead to wisdom. Having info and then using that info. So thank you very much.
Thank you so much. I'm a crane operator and I usually just sit in my crane all day and only hoist something occasionally. I've decided to day trade because I'll be able to pay attention to fluctuations and hopefully choose right. This was my first video on the subject. I'm going to watch more of your videos. Thank you very much!
these videos are awesome, I'm binge watching. I already trade but doesn't hurt to go back to the basics here and there. not sure what kind of people would dislike these videos

Helped me understand more on this subject im 19yrs old i play baseball and cant worka job so trying to find ways to make money through the phone appreciate the information
so, basically you buy a stock at a low price and instead of holding you watch for it to go up a few cents and sell. so in theory if you do that with 100 other stocks, you make money for that day.
Thanks bro I put down my blunt today and said I wanna learn some new then I seen some college kids on TikTok day trading make me even more into it then I end up find you to learn some more and I did now let me keep going shiid who know i might actually do this shxt fr 😂😂😂
Wow. I never started doing any day trading. But I kinda knew how it works before I watched this video because I wanted to learn more but...the only thing that stumped me was the shorting part. Gotta be very careful and pay attention . I mean if it gonna take 5 redbull a day and a family size ranch Doritos than so be it.
I like how you explained that I tried another video didn't do it this well. I'm new to stocks and heard day trading in another video I said what's that. Thanks bro very helpful I'm subbing
do day traders only trade in 1 stock in a day, or do they trade in like 2-3 stocks in a single day? And also: Does the day trader sell the stock at the end of the day, or does he leave it for the next day?
My guy u deserve way more views and subs I took a 8 hour course on daytrading and didn’t understood a thing but saw this 8min video and now I wanna get more into it thanks mate 🫡
how are naked options affected by HFT activity? I did a paper trade on NVDA and I saw it hit past my mark of 112 all the way down to 107, but on the weekly chart it shows the lowest price only hit 112.60 So what I'm asking is how would my naked 112 put have been affected by the few seconds/milliseconds that the price was at 107?
I understand a day trader likes trading that day but let's say they shorted but it went up 5%. could you hold the stock until the the end of the next trading day?
Okay, this is a random question. Assuming I don't know anything about day trading and i'm just a average person how hard do you honestly think it is to teach myself how to day trade and to be successful at it? Every persons different but im curious what your opinion is on how hard it would be to learn to be good at it.
Ok. I see the day trading and understand it. But, how about being a multi-day trader. Maybe in weeks. Watching the stocks go up and looking at the history, I could then buy low and sell low...though the selling point would be up compared to where I started.
Is it necessary to pay for classes to learn how to trade? What kinds of things would a teacher teach me that I can't learn by just diving in and learning as I go? I'm asking because I learn better by doing.
I’m new to this if it works I’ll let y’all know because life is rough ,tired of seeing life go by when you don’t make enough hopefully this helps out 🤞🏽
I was confused with the last example of the day when AAPL went up, if a day trader bought low and sold when the market when up how wouldn't they make money? As you said they would've lost.
I still don't understand on the last one where it was up 5% and you said something about I went short and losing money, what I'm not understanding is the stocks are still going up and down throughout the day so how come you can't buy at a low price and sell at a high price I'm just not understanding that Even though the price of the stock went up at the end of the day they were still peaks up and down during the day im new
Hi Clay what kind of capital do people invest as a day trader? I know the amount can vary, But it seems like you would need quite a large Capital, as well as knowing what you’re doing in order to make money as a day trader.
To actually day trade without being deemed under a T1 or T2 you would need a minimum of 25k I believe you may want to double check the actual number but I believe it to be 25,000
I'm confused where do I even find these numbers of trading. No one teaches that apparently. Plus I'm trying to understand how you can enter a day trading where you're not betting but you can put your money to work on something you trust. I imagine i'd be hard to see investments going down for a small company, but I don't know how small these are in the investment universe, like a bakery for example.
What is your role in society as a day trader? Is your work essential for other people like a job of a medical doctor, mechanic, electrician, ...? What is your contribution to a better life for the whole of humankind? Are traders a necessity for a better world like scientists are?
@@claytrader Good for granny! What do you think about this example? You hear about the severe drought in America/Russia which will kills a lot of crops. So as a trader you speculate that wheat will go up and buy it cheaply. The price goes much higher because of traders and then you sell at a higher price. Basically, you just earned money by making food expensive for other people.
@@primozlokosek5006 but if that trader is wrong, and prices keep falling (because it's not "cheap enough"... that trader will eventually be forced to sell... which will cause prices to go even further down)... so in that situation, the trader is helping to make food prices lower.... you are operating under the assumption that traders just do whatever they want with no consequences...
@@claytrader Usually, the drought destroys the food and the price of food goes up if it is scarce - basic economics. On which principles would the price go down? The same is happening now, there is a shortage of chips, new cars are delayed and the price went up. I am sorry that out of so many traders you have to answer these questions. Thank you for your time!
@@primozlokosek5006 if you think the futures market follows the exact rules of economics, that would make trading way too easy... I promise you, trading is NOT easy.
Dude all you had to do was explain the definition and get some illustrations like khan academy the production quality sucks it’s you in front of a whiteboard boring af. Terrible editing. That’s just my observation without any emotion that is.
Thanks for the feedback. I gotta "go with the crowd" though, and as of the time of this comment.... 231 thumbs up, 4 thumbs down.... so again, thanks for your feedback, but you are well within the minority opinion. Cheers (with emotion).
