Well all good things must come to an end, in this video Edward and I say goodbye to my 2016 Mercedes AMG GTS Edition 1 and transport it off to its new owner!
I met a stranger on a Facebook automotive sales group who had posted one of my wish list cars for sale at a really reasonable price. I sent him a DM on Facebook Messenger asking him if he would be willing to do a straight title swap trade for my Mercedes AMG GTS. Of course he thought I was a scammer at first. It took a lot of photos, a couple FaceTime sessions and a few phone calls to pull the deal together.
The new owner Rob lucky enough was extremely interested and actually wanted a Mercedes AMG GTS. It was like the car gods aligned and a deal was struck! Edward and I drove up from San Antonio and Rob drove down from Wichita, Kansas and we decided to meet in the Dallas, Texas area since it was about 5 hours for both of us.
We decided to meet at my friend's car dealership, Honda of Weatherford to inspect both cars and do the swap in a neutral space. Honda of Weatherford was so awesome, they let us put both cars up on the lifts and let us inspect them to make sure we were both happy with the trade.
Rob and I did it, a $0 dollar bill of sale for our $80,000 dollar cars, we signed over each others titles and off we went on our new automotive adventures.
Remember not every car deal on Facebook Marketplace is a scam, just 99% percent....
