Required Ingredients for this Indian style chicken curry : 👉
Whole chicken cut in medium-sized chunks : 1 kg ( 2LBs )
Onion : 1 finely chopped
Tomato : 1 finely chopped
Dry Coconut flakes : ½ Cup (120 gms)
Onion cut in slices : 2 medium
Ginger/Garlic paste : 1 Tea spoon
Garlic : 4/5 cloves
Ginger : 1 inch
Salt : As per Taste
Oil : 6 Tea spoon
Spices
Red chilly powder : 2 Tea spoon
Turmeric : 1 Tea spoon
Cloves : 3/4
Black pepper : 3
Cinnamon : ½ inch
Black Cardamom : 1
Poppy seeds : 1 Table spoon
Chicken Masala (home made or from store (any chicken curry masala): 2 Tea spoon
Procedure to make authentic Indian chicken curry recipe 👉
1. Take some oil in a pan.
2. Add Cumin seeds and let them crackle.
3. Add finely chopped onion and sauté for a minuet.
4. Add Ginger Garlic paste and saute until onion turns red and brown.
5. Add pieces of Chicken in to pan and mix well. Sauté chicken until it releases water and changes its color.
6. Add 1 cup water and let chicken boil for next 20 minutes.
GRAVY Preparation Steps:
7. In another pan take 1 tea spoon oil and saute sliced onion until it turns brown.
8. Next saute coconut flakes for minute on medium flame.
9. Saute all raw spices for 1 minute and half.
10. Let all above ingredients cool add coriander leaves and ginger and garlic cloves.
11. Grind all ingredients into smooth paste.
12. In the same pan take 3 teaspoon oil.
13. Fry fresh paste for 3/4 minutes until it releases oil on medium flame.
14. Add chopped tomatoes and mix well.
15. Add 2 tsp red chilly powder and 2 tea spoon chicken masala powder mix well.
16. Add boiled pieces of chicken and fry in paste for 2 minutes.
17. Add chicken stock. To adjust thickness add some water if you want.
18. Add salt as per taste.
19. Let chicken boil in gravy for 3/4 minutes and garnish it with chopped coriander . Serve hot with fresh naan, Tandoori roti or rice.
