Burn needs more love. It’s always the same boring thing. I’ve played it in tournaments and did well at the time but i don’t think it holds up in real tournaments today.
In short burn has not been great in a while. At FNMs and leagues it can be fine, and when the format is shaking up it is usually good for a bit. That said, the prowess-burn hybrid has had some success before MH3 and amped raptor and phlage both have potential in burn variants.
In short, I don't know in the current meta. I do not have enough testing against the new decks yet. Overall, I still like traditional burn a bit more, but the prowess variant does have a bit more explosiveness in goldfish matchups.
amped raptor yes that should possibly be coming as soon as next week. flare, no the card is a trap and does not belong in burn. plage will depend on when the price comes down, its almost as expensive for one plage at the moment as it is for an entire burn deck on mtgo.
@@mtgnexusred i played with phlage because i buyed when the price was low, and is very good, but i played with drc, buble and slickshot, like mengucci list, very good deck, i made 3-1 in rl, lost for amulet titan
Not a fan of the hand you kept in game 3 against prison tron, obviously didn't matter since your opponent was the average tron player, very debatable keep as you said though. Good video as always!
the hand was not good, but a lot of burn hands can be traps against the 4x challice, 4x trinisphere main deck. i just wanted board presence and at least 3 lands to cast all my spells. that hand was terrible but most burn standards but didnt fold to chalice on 1 and had the other qualities i just mentioned.
