How about reinforcing the glued split with some wrapping or even a bamboo patch glued over and then wrapping it with serving for example. I bet it would have lasted much longer.
I think that would definitely be the best way to go. I was really just wanting to keep the polished look for the keep sake purposes, but I got too confident and shot too many times. lol But I definitely think you are correct on that method being best.
Did you tiller the bow to shoot 3 under ? Or for string walking? Looks like you are putting uneven pressure on the bottom limb by shooting that way. Even custom bowyers will or 99% of them will ask you how you shoot a bow when you order. As the bows need to be tillered for your style of shooting.. I would take and use smooth on epoxy you used in first place to fix it. Then take and wrap it with sinew and try to to shoot it with the two under one above draw.
That's a great question. I'm afraid i do not know. I'm not experienced enough to know how to tiller it that way. If you have a video on that method, id love to see it to learn how.
