TRADITIONAL Family Cooked Meal | Life in the Miện Tây 🇻🇳

Today, I went to Vinh Long to enjoy some life in the countryside of the Mien Tay. As I arrived from Saigon, we first headed out to Anh Hao's family home to start the prep for the food. Anh Hao had just finished catching some baby clams and we started the prep work. I had many choices for lunch but we ended up picking sour soup so we had to run to the market where I was able to observe many veggies and herbs that I had no clue what they were.
After that we returned and continued preparing the food. More friends and loved ones showed up to help. I showed that I have lost all my skills in the kitchen. So instead I just observed and learned from the professionals. Sour soup, braised snake head fish, and a stir fried baby clam dish made the table for lunch.
It was a fantastic meal and flavors I will remember for a long time.
