We must continue this in future also for many reasons. In my opinion Health is more important than money. We should always keep some land for traditional farming (for organic crops ). Ploughing is done by special animal named as DZO and I have mentioned about the animal DZO (hybrid of cow and yak) in my discription. This is absolutely beautiful.It was a kind of nostalgia for me as when we used to visit our village in Almora Uttarakhand same methods were used to plough fields and then having lunch and tea on field was great.But now due to large scale migration in last 15 years there are hardly any people in villages with no farming. Uttarakhand-Himachal same culture and same beautiful people. Thank you for this lovely video..Best wishes for future.

Thanks for introducing us all to your traditional farming (Reeputma) done at your end in Kinnaur and quite surprising that you and people from other villages like Spello have to reach 3 kms at Tapang (also called Kandey as you mentioned). Thank you for sharing in Kinnauri vocabulary several terms used as regards the farming process. It's a learning for us all. Some of the terms have been captured at my end like Reeputma (khet beejna) Puzatpaama (sprinkling / sowing of seeds ) Yangma taama Pol (creation of water channels) Tung ..kutting (a shed in the fields to store food and implements if I understand correctly) (Please do excuse me with the spellings of Kinnauri words). With the help of Zofo and zomi (female) all that farming is done. Is it only Zofo that is taken help of in the fileds or Zomi also??? Good to know all the process of Farming For a healthy crop of Nangajaun Tingnzet Hallas barley And that now even Raajma and Matar (peas) are also grown by the villagers as you mentioned. Good to know you are happy and satisfied with the zafo tima you said you initiated ... Appreciate your contribution and effort in the fields including treating all with tea prepared by your goodself Agree with you, surely it is a hard life in routine in the hills. Hats off to the spirit..dedication..lively nature of all ..and most of all the contentment and happily enjoying the life blessed with... Glimpse of very lively sweet Aapi was a treat .. Must say, very informative video getting familiar with the Kinnauri farming . Appreciate your command on the language as you speak so well the Hindi language and express so beautifully. A wonderful idea of introducing us to the local traditional farming and a very lovely video.. Beautiful..However, I would like to know in which chak (revenue record) this chunk of land falls because you have mentioned that that the tenancy and land holding of the area is shared by Labrang, Kanam, Spillo and Karla villages..Likewise, my village Kanda is also shared by three villages viz Yulla, Urni and Chagaon for grazing in the pastures..ours is a very beautiful Kanda famously known for Yulla Janamashtmi, however, there's no cultivation and farming..
