interesting to learn the history and traditions of the dolls ,only thing i can find in the uk are corn dolls which date from pagan times as well coming from Europe ,but they are just made of corn husks i think, so not as elaborate as those, i think it would take me months to make one if i had to, but lucky being a man your tradition says i can not make one ,that's a good excuse ,yours turned out great very professional doll maker .i like hearing about the traditions and history of your country ,its so interesting,

Believe it or not I grew up with Russian cartoons that Greek TV played back into 90s. So I love Russian drawing ornaments and colors. Happy to find you!

This is very fascinating. Since teen i've read a lot on Russian/Slavic folk beliefs, and i even bought one doll looking almost like this when i was in St Petersburg. In Finland we also had specific wooden dolls/totems placed for example hayloft, bedroom, sauna, or edge of the forest back in the good ol' days. Now everything is so boring here on the superstitious/religious side of things haha
