Another cooking video from me! As usual everything is easy and fast to make. These are very popular everyday homecooking recipes.
From Russia with love,
Marina

Omg!! That milk dish at the start is something similar to what I used to eat as a kid in South Africa. I'm South African Indian. We cooked that with milk and a little cream and that pasta as well! Our flavourings in it was something like sugar, cinnamon sticks, cardamon, silvered almonds and a little bit of butter at the end. So delicious! So interesting to see you make something similar👌👌

I'm from the US but my Russian grandmother made me milk soup growing up. I always loved it and assumed everyone ate it. But I would mention it and the other kids have no idea what I'm talking about lol

It is always like that. Those things - traditional for you or day-to-day routine seems really difficult/unusual for other people. Same with memories from childhood 😊

I have never thought to pan fry my chips (fries) in the frying pan- I always deep fry them if not having oven chips. I will try this- love a treat of fried chips with salt & vinegar. Great video as usual 😊

Do your kids come home for lunch then go back to school after lunch or is school over when they come home for lunch? In America most kids stay at school for lunch.
@lovingrussia3496
@lovingrussia3496 2 года назад
Some kids have lunch at school (you just need to tell the teacher that you'll be having lunch at school). My kids never liked eating school food so they have lunch at home after lessons end (13.00 for Alex and 14.00 for George). Usually Alex is waiting to eat together with his brother🙂

@@lovingrussia3496 wow, our kids are in school until at least 3 pm until high school. I think public school wastes a lot of time with nonsense. If I had it to do all over again, I'd home school.

It's good that children can stay at school for longer for full-time working mums
@houndlover870

@@ilonailona9786 I definitely agree to a point but maybe it's different in Russia. Not sure but I love that Marina makes them lunch. Even when it's simple, I love that she focuses on them. I really want to meet her in real life.

@@ilonailona9786 you are right. mums are often full-time working in Russia: grandparents (if any) usually take care of kids after school.

Can you buy meat already ground or minced up or do your stores not sell it already minced?
@lovingrussia3496
@lovingrussia3496 2 года назад
We have minced meat in stores but I don't like it's quality. So I prefer mincing it myself. Many families have a meat mincer at home.

@@lovingrussia3496 I was wondering about this too. I’m from Texas. I bought some minced chicken, twice, from the supermarket. One was breast meat only. The other was mixed. I didn’t like either of them. I thought it was just that I didn’t like minced chicken, but seeing you make your own has made me reconsider. I have a sausage grinder. Perhaps, I will give homemade chicken mince a try!

Thank you for the great video. Very nourishing and tasty dishes. Your method for the meatballs is very interesting and I shall be trying it. Btw was the meat chicken or turkey? Yes, the wife and mother has to often multi-task.......cooking while attending a meeting! All the best to you all from South Africa.

This time it was chicken but I also often make meatballs from turkey. My dad likes beef+pork meatballs.
