[Traffic Cam] Brand New Seattle FD Energy 1 responding!

This afternoon, I got my very first look at Seattle Fire's newest truck - Energy 1 - responding to a call! It looks as though Energy 1 is replacing Power 25 on the Energy Response Team (formerly the Vault Response Team).
I don't know any details about the truck yet, but I'm hoping we'll learn more in the next few weeks/months. If any of my viewers have more info, feel free to leave it in the comments. I'm also really hoping to catch this unit in person before the end of the year!

Yeah, it's a beast for sure - I'm glad I was able to get P25 at least a few times before it retired!

you mentioned the new truck has more CO2. Is that for electric car fires?

I can't speak for them but my city has a similar unit. Essentially, fire departments are creating specialized units to fight EV fires. Since batteries burn much hotter and for longer, you have to use CO2 instead of water. Our "energy" unit is tied into our hazmat unit, so they'll respond to traditional hazmat calls in addition to large diesel leaks and or EV fires as they carry a large supply of CO2.

It's still in service, it just wasn't dispatched to this call.

@@SeattleTrafficCams i understand that but the reason I am asking that is because I go to church on the weekends and station 25 and right next to it and every time I walk by the station the truck is not there and I though Seattle retired it
