"Deuce" is an interesting one. Obviously it can be taken as "Peace out", but deeper than that is "deuce" as in a tennis game. The characters represent the media and the cyclic highlighting of all the misfortune in the world, like it's some inhuman game. BUT DEEPER THAN THAT is the slang for Deuce meaning "Devil". The Greek origins of devil (or, "diabolos") means, as used in the Bible for example, the word "Slanderer". Humans are called "Devils" several times because the word simply means slanderer! And what do those in this video do? They gossip, slander, report, and live off of the attention they crave.

YESSSSS, That means SO much to me, thank you!!! I put a lot of love into this one, Niru Kajitsu covers are what pushed me into being comfortable with my voice so you can hear a tremendous amount of improvement starting from my Wozwald cover to my newest stuff! I wish Niru got more attention, though, He really deserves it 😔

Oh my god, this cover the golden. Awesome vocals aside, I'm in love with the lyrics - they convey the meaning of the original meaning of the song perfectly, yet flow naturally, without trying to cram or stretch words to fit the rhythm.

holy FUCK this is fantastic. The translated lyrics were kind of hard to parse even without rhyme scheme, but somehow you took them and made them something both very true to the song and also extremely catchy. Goddamn.

Thank you for another great cover, Trickle. So frequently, I end up liking your cover better than the original song, and that is the case once again. I have already listened to this cover many more times than I ever listened to the original! I enjoyed it a lot! But much more importantly, my cat also enjoyed it. ;) When you said deuce can "obviously" mean "peace out" it made me laugh because when I heard deuce I thought of tennis and of the number two and of dice and of playing cards, but "peace out" never even occurred to me XD Of course I'm familiar with deuce as slang for devil, but I hadn't thought of that in connection with the song until you pointed it out! I think that's a great observation. But because I like to be very precise about things... I think "slanderer" is a better gloss of diabolos than "gossiper." Gossip implies enthusiastically talking about other people's business, spreading rumors, etc, but while could be false, it could be true. However, slander always indicates that the information isn't true. Obviously I don't actually know Greek, but any time I've read about the word diabolos, the definitions given are "slanderer, traducer, false accuser, calumniator." So I got the impression that the meaning of word always involves speaking falsehood against someone, and I feel like "gossiper" doesn't quite capture that. I tend to be really picky about using the "mot juste" though. At this point you are probably thinking "Ha-ha... shut up," and if you are I wouldn't blame you XD (I loved the way you delivered that "shut up" at the end of the song, btw!) Anyway, you are so talented and it is so awesome to see how much you keep improving with each new cover! And as I've said before, I really love that you write up your thoughts on the interpretation of the song, so keep doing that too :) (Also sorry that this comment is so late after the premiere; my response was delayed because my dad randomly asked me to go to McDonald's with him lol)

This translation give me a completely different interpretation of this song from the one I'd known. It's fantastic. You added in your own little spice, making it purely unique from anything anyone else could do, but you took none of the charm away from the song. Fantastic. You've absolutely gained a subscriber. Edit: the only suggestion i would give, is that the vocals were a little quiet compared to the music.
