That’s what I was thinking. He was going well over 110 to catch up to a car going 8 over? The crazy part is there was another Trooper driving behind him that clocked the same car an kept going.

55 is the speed limit. Not too hard to understand

Usually those are speed traps. The speed limit is 70, then drops down to 55. So if you are doing , say, 75, then you hit the speed trap, then you get popped for doing 75 in a 55. Its a hustle to get money.

I saw 2cars following each other so how come only one car got pulled over?

I got pulled over for going 5 under in Kansas in 10 inches of snow in a Geo Metro. That's right the snow was higher than the floorboards in the car on the roadways. I ws written a warning for obstructing the flow of traffic and also questioned as to why I refused to pull off on the shoulder instead of me driving to a parking area that was reasonably clear of snow along the side of the road before I stopped. 25 minutes of BS questions and attempts at conversation later he handed me my warning ticket and allowed me to then exit from his state that now I no longer cared to be in. I made the first Southern exit and headed for Oklahoma. He told me it did not matter that the snow being deeper than my vehicle clearance was causing me issues with control at higher speeds. He said that no matter what I had to maintain the RECOMMENDED (not mandatory) speed of 55 mph. He also said that I should have pulled off to the shoulder and allowed everyone else to pass me before continuing along my route. I pointed out that there was a foot and a half deep snow along the shoulders on both sides of the roadway and that that was a quarter of the way up the doors of the vehicle if I pulled off. I asked him how becoming stuck on the roadside was going to make my trip through his shithole state any safer for me? At this point he started getting huffy at me insulting his shithole and sent me along my way. Which I was most happy to do.

No, he was not. This was a fishing trip. He even tried to trip the guy up at the end and get him to do FST which the guy rightly refused to do. And low and behold mister BS stop trooper dropped it despite initially claiming he smelled alcohol. Suddenly the smell just went away when he realized the guy was not buying his BS. So no, he is not an excellent public servant. He is still a public servant but excellent is not a term I would use to describe his questionable tactics.

@@wpeale71341 I’m making reference on how he didn’t escalate the situation. Most power tripping police will put them in Handcuffs and personally I think this is the way business needs to be conducted.. settle in court not by a police officer

*55. The violation happened on State Highway 33, before he got onto the Interstate (where the speed limit is 55).

actually the tailgating car is probably the very one the portly female in white came out of that drove the car away at the end of the video. The trooper said there was a second car pulling over behind him at the initiation of the traffic stop on the driver that was removed from the stopped vehicle. I think that would be the second dark colored car that the trooper went around after entering the State Highway. Family following family down the highway. Nothing uncommon there.
