You can see why it benefits to just listen to police. They could have gotten him for the marijuana or the bad plate but they let ALL that go simply because not only did the driver act extremely maturely in a very hectic and volatile situation but his brother also was calm and respectful when he showed up on scene.
She was not trying to get back in the car The cop did the right thing. I have to say kudos to the young man that is now on the ground. He handled himself like a grown up and I'm very proud of him.

What you think your rights are are defined in a court of law, not on the street. On the street the officer is in charge. They will do as they are told or they will face the consequences.
You just know the driver who remained calm is now telling everyone he’s adopted. Bravo to the officers who handled this out of control woman but still treated her with kindness. I know I couldn’t do their job. I took the test, but I knew I didn’t have the fortitude for that job.
These Troopers don't get paid enough for everything they go thru. That drama king and queen win a local Emmy award. The DQ sure went from talkin' tough to a screamin' banshee in a second. Respect to the driver who kept a cool head and clearly didn't want any part of that drama.
You are right in a modern sense. However if this was 1940s or 50s they didnt have to put up with PROBLEMS. There was a very strong fear of the police. There would not of been a screaming fool. Also there was an all male force.

Now I'm not saying Cops are always right and we're perfect but we're people also. That Woman escalated the whole situation when all she had to do was stay in the car. At least there was one person in the car that acted like an adult. Of course someone else pulls up out of nowhere, he walks up on the Troopers and then accuses them of being disrespectful. The Troopers have no idea who you are dude and why you even showed up. Just stupidity. The WORST part about all of this is her saying that she has kids. 👮♂️ ~ So the guy who did everything right still has to lay down on the ground on his stomach like a dog. And then he gets handcuffed. Do I understand why the cops want it that way? Yes, absolutely. But can you also understand why people feel like they don’t want to follow your orders when they feel like they’re not treated 100% fairly when they do follow orders? And by the way, wearing handcuffs can cause permanent nerve damage in your arms. Especially when you wear handcuffs and have to sit down in the back of a cop car. So like I said, you understand why people get pissed at the police when they do everything right yet they’re in handcuffs in the back of the car just the same as everybody else? And if I even had to tell you about possible nerve damage for you to get how this would feel unfair, then you have a problem seeing other people’s perspectives.
P.S. I noticed how they were annoyed at the guy who walked up when they were searching the car over halfway through the video. I get them being scared since they were caught off guard by him walking up, but they instantly are mad at him saying that he should have yelled out “ hey man let me holler at you for a minute“. But I could see other cops being mad if he was to say the exact same thing because they would feel that’s disrespectful. Just like some cops get furious at people for calling them buddy or bro, the cop says no I am officer blank. If the cops want to educate the guy how he should probably approach cops in this type of situation, that’s more than fine. But they are irritated at him for not doing what they subjectively want as their preference. That’s the problem. They feel like their own subjective preferences should be known to everybody automatically. I worked at a call center and did very well. I was number one out of 1500 people multiple times. And I never quite understood how people at the call center would you get angry at customers for not instinctively knowing our policies even when our policies were counterintuitive. But because the call center employees New the policy they felt everybody else should automatically know it as well. Even though that doesn’t make sense.
I hope the dude with his hands on the car the whole time reads these comments and sees how proud everyone is of his respectful behavior. I hope he stays like that the rest of his life and leads by example

Because stuff like that only works in the hood and that's what she's used to. In the hood the louder you are and the more you peacock if you are a female you will most likely get your way even if the police is there. As a black man I'm embarrassed. This trooper did nothing to escalate this situation and they did everything to force his hand. I'm all for fair treatment for my people at the hands of law enforcement but we need to do our part as well and stop the unnecessary foolishness
One of my very best friends is a Black lady. She’s got 2 grown sons and they’ve never had a problem with law enforcement. They both are responsible adults with families. One has a master’s degree. I think it’s just a small percentage of Blacks that disrespect police, just like a small number of Whites that give police a problem. I think a lot of the problem is the way people are raised. If kids have a good foundation they usually turn out to be responsible, respectful citizens.

To the young man who stayed calm: please get away from these people. Family or not-toxic is toxic. No one likes being stopped by the police but if we do what they say we usually have no issues. You see exactly how not to behave and how TO behave right here in this video. We don’t have to bow down to people in power but it helps us to be polite, calm, and respectful to those in power and to regular folks as well. There’s no need for this unnecessary drama.
I appreciate that the cops rewarded the driver's good behavior by letting him toss the weed instead of ruining his life over a few grams when he's OBVIOUSLY a good kid caught up in a bad situation with even worse people ❤
The young man with his hands on the car seemed a very decent, good kid. The police thanked him for his co-operation and let him walk away. I hope he stays the nice person we see on this video.

The young gentleman that respected the officers is a shining example to everyone, if he were my son I would be one proud Mama...he is an outstanding example to his generation. The person responsible is the young woman. By yelling and fighting she caused the other young man to become confrontational and combative. If she had kept out of it, they would have been on their way.
