I live 5 blocks from a major hospital. Sirens day and night. Between the ambulances, fire trucks, garbage trucks, cars with woofers and tweeters that shake the windows, the football team practicing across the street at the high school, and the city sending trucks to repair potholes, there isn't much in the way of silence at any time in the day or evening.

I live in a beautifully quiet area in scotland, i love the Peace and quiet. Owls hooting, pigeons cooing, moorhens, pheasants perfect. I could not live in a busy city.
