I installed this GardePro trail camera near my deer hunting blind to see what was in the area. For the first two weeks, all I caught was footage of the doe and her two fawns that I knew called the area home, as well as the occasional raccoon coming by for an easy meal, but I never expected to see this HUGE black bear lumber onto the scene! What a treat to see (and also a little scary!) Needless to say, I took measures to fortify my blind - just in case!
Occasionally, the trailcam will pick up audio from the bear's activities, but for the most part, the video is quiet, so I decided to give you a bit of commentary while the trail camera footage plays through, just so you're not watching a silent video.
I can't tell from the footage if this is a male or female but would love your comments on the matter. Is there a way to tell? Maybe it'll remain a mystery!?!
I hope you enjoy! I'll be posting more trailcam footage over the next few weeks as the animals and critters of the forest pass by. Stay tuned as I share the best of these trail camera captures.
