For an ultimate test try setting out all of your favorites on the same tree for a month or so(on private land to deter theft of course) and see what ones are missing picture or are taking the best quality pictures!

I've always had the best luck with bushnell cams. For the price, they take great pictures day or night, and the batteries last all year.

I run mostly Moultrie given that I can use any of them (after 2015) with the Moultrie modem setup ($150). Cheapest cell cam on the market at the time. Primos has a new "Truth" cell cam for $199 that looks very user friendly. Great vid guys! Ted = Fuzz

Love honest reviews! I have no brand loyalty, right now I've got moultries, brownings, bushnells, stealth cam, primos, and spypoint. The spypoint is their "cheap" cellular it was $250 dollars last year and it has been amazing, the pics it sends are good enough for me to differentiate which buck I'm looking at most of the time. I also recently built 2 solar panel setups using a simple 12v regulator soldered inline on a coleman solar panel. I'm running one on a browning and the other on my cellular. I think if I built a little enclosure and put a 12v battery in there and used the solar panel on that I could have a camera that almost never died.

I have used quite a few different trail cameras over the years and hands down the Browning Spec Ops are the best I have used. Hi-res pics, crisp clean HD video, super sensitive audio and 0.6 sec. trigger speed. It's all I use anymore. Sold my Wildgame, Moultie cams and others so I could buy more Browning trail cameras.

I run covert as well and have some muddy pro cam 20s and a few covert cell cams . The covert mp8 is definitely my old reliable of cameras. Bushnell essential e2 was a good camera but when they came out with the new essential e3 I had a lot of problems with black and white pictures during daylight hours and battery life was not near as good. So far the muddys have been doing good and the covert as always a good camera. great video guys thanks

I run the wild games on public land in n.j. just due to high theft possibilities mainly over bait but when not on bait I put them on video mode. Out of 12 cams I've had zero issues, I did have 3 or 4 older i.e. 4 or 5 year old wild games break but for the price typically under 40$ I get my money's worth. No cable or chain can stop a bolt cutters or sawzall and in the n.j. woods it seems guys carry them often while out lol

I'm extremely happy you guys made a video about scouting/hunting standing corn. Watching your videos over the past year has taught me so much and has even given me my biggest buck. I'm still confused how you guys hunt wind, do you expect mature deer to be walking into the wind or what? I know it all depends but could you do a video or clarify what wind condition you look for heading into an area?

Great review, thanks! I run the Covert MP8 mostly but also own a couple browning strike force cams that are easy to operate but do not have a viewing screen to look at pictures on the camera, Another advantage to the browing over the covert is they only use 6 batteries versus 8 in the covert. I also own 3 reconyx cameras but I will admit I did not buy them, I won them so cost is a prohibiting factor for them but they run flawlessly and have great night time phots and battery life is excellent.

The best thing for the Moultrie cameras is to set your setting for trigger speed on low especially in thick cover. If your open ground go with medium setting on speed setting then works great.

Best camera I have used Moultrie M 880, $150 at Walmart, have had it on a tree for 2 years, it has taken over 20,000 photos and I have changed the batteries twice. It will however pick up weeds, leaves or limbs moving and snap a pic, but over all I cant complain. Love the videos guys, keep up the good work.

I've had good luck with Browning. You should check out Bone View SD card readers. They plug into your phone so you can view your cards while in the field. It's better than trying to see the pictures on the tiny screen on the cameras, while also draining batteries, or having to swap cards and check them later. Plus you can save the images to your phone with it.

I got some StealthCams on sale and really like that brand. Gives a lot of options for around $75 when 50%. Many settings, great day time photos, good trigger speed, long battery life, and other pluses. I will say the night pics suck...but for the price it works. Tascos are great for public land...less than $30 and really are a solid camera. Downsides are reliability and the trigger distance/speed. Place it right and you won’t regret it for the price and ease of mind if it gets stolen.

I use the cuddeback cameras once you get use to the functions they are fairly easy to use I have 15 of these cameras. I have not had very many things set these off that gets missed. I bought five moultrie cameras they get set off from the slightest motion whether it is weeds or leaves just falling past the camera. I had one moultrie that had 8500 pictures on it only 500 were of animals.

The Covert MP8 is the best bang for the buck. Covert's Blackhawk Verion wireless cam has improved the quality and come down in price. You pay $15 per month only for the months you want to use it. The Maverick series is really good with tons of features and excellent photo and video quality but it's quite a bit more money than the MP8.

I have mostly Cuddeback's. They're ok. I like them because you can set it to take a picture and a video. I also got a good deal on craigslist for them. Plus the video's aren't too large. I have one Browning that I love. It takes excellent pictures and videos. Battery life is great on them. Only drawback is you need a large card because of the picture quality and you can't email a pic to your buddies because they are too big.

I have a camera out that has been out since last october and went to pull the card the other day and it is still showing full batteries. I have a friend with a spy point cellular cam and it is decent photos and only 250 I think.

I see Tater Ted had a Bushnell Trophy Cam in the box, I have ran those for years and have had great luck with them. The quality varies a bit year to year in the models, but the Trophy Cam HD Essential E2 12MP cam has been the best. I think its a 2016 model but you can find them new on eBay still for about 90-100 bucks.

Great Informative video, I recently changed to the covert MP8s after years of using moultrie, unfortunately moultrie has let their quality go down the crapper and your lucky to get half a season out of them, I suggest staying far away from moultrie. Covert MP8 have great battery life, decent photos, are reliable and have unbelievable customer service. Just my 2 cents

I have a few Moultries that I run. Currently an M-40 and two M-40i cameras. The picture quality is great on both and the battery life and ease to lock it with a bigger python lock is great as well. I actually put lithium batteries in one of my M-40i cameras on November 9th this past season. I left the camera out until I just checked it in late July. Figuring the batteries would be dead. To my surprise there were almost 3300 pictures and the battery readout still said 98%. I was speechless. I do get a few false triggers every once in a while but not hardly anymore that I turned the sensitivity to medium

I’ve used them all. From stealth cam to Moultry. Wild game innovations. Primos. And now even the cellular trail cameras. Cuddeback is the best because it’s complicated. So if you’re not an idiot you can figure out how to use it. Because it allows you to turn off the daylight function if you want to. So it’s only taking pictures at night. And it gives you a very wide range of timeouts video on off. But I am completely hooked on the cellular trail cameras. Because I can literally get a notification within a minute that something was taking a picture of. And if you put it in a place where you’re thinking a buck is going to be traveling. You can know before you go in what was on your trail camera and what came by. Sadly so many of those cameras have planned obsolescence with none replaceable internal batteries. And trail cameras can help you know what deer may be around. But you still have to do like you guys do and actually do scouting and see the sign.

Browning dark ops extreme, browning dark ops elite hd, browning spec ops extreme browning spec ops advantage. The 2 dark ops cams named above I've let set 5 from late September till may with a very rough January and March and it was alive. 1 of them I hung dec 1 over a buck bed and pulled it mid July and it took pics of me when I got to it. Battery life with lithiums is superb and it flat hammers out the pics. I have 18 of em between the dark ops and spec ops I've named. They are the bees knees

No love for Bushnell? I've been very pleased with my Bushnell Trophy Cam HD 20MP 119874C. I actually just bought my second one tonight. That will make three that I'll be running on my land. My wife and I have turned our property into a private park, and a sanctuary for animals. I have hunted in the past, but we don't allow hunting here, but rather encourage more and more animals to make the park their home. The only problems I've had with the Bushnell is a few false triggers. We do have things running by the camera though, such as rabbits and fox. So many of those could be the way I have the camera set up at its current location. Your video was very informative, and I would love to know your opinion about the newer Bushnell trail cameras. I plan to add more cameras in the future for a total of maybe six or so for the Park. Guests love to see pictures of the animals of the park, but it is self-funded by me and my wife, so its taken us some time to add the cameras we have. Its our own paradise though, as we've planted 90% of all of the trees within the park, and gave the land a lot of labor, and even more love.

You didn't really talk about the Bushnell HD Cam. I would recommend them for the quality, easy to use and the low price. Found the 8mp for $75-100 and the 12 & 16 for $125. I've got a mix of 15 Bushnell HD in the 8mp, 12mp & 16mp models. Been very impressed with them. I've got 3 from 2012 that stay out 365 days a year with no problems. Only 1 Bushnell that's failed in since i started using them in 2011. Do recommend using Energizer Lithium batteries. I get them off of eBay for about 1/2 price of retail. I've gotten over 50k pics in a year on a set of lithium batteries. I've had 4 Moultrie, great quality pics, but they seem to dump after year or 2. WGI, good for a really CHEAP camera (bought 5mp & 8mp for 10.00-20.00 each). They last 3 months to 2 years. Works good on public land that has lots of bears. they will rip them off a tree and some times you can't find them again. Do a test with all the cameras set up on a single pole and compare the quality and reaction time of the cameras for us.

Great brief, but informative, overview. I'm just trying out the Muddy. Moultrie to me lasts forever, I have dinosaurs that are still going. Had one that stopped taking night pics, but other than that reliable. Not had much luck with cuddieback. Mine and my buddies all died after just 2 years. Bushnell has been my go to. Great pics, battery life, detection, etc. Had one that died after 3 years, but their customer service offered me a deal on a new model replacement. I will definitely look into Covert, but why did you not elaborate on the bushnell in the box? Just curious. They tend to get a bad wrap in reviews I've seen. But I like.

I think the best trail camera the Chinese ever made was the Moultrie M80. I have several. One of them is almost 9 years old. I've never had a problem with it. Covert would be my second choice. I have a Covert Black 60 that's almost 8 years old.

I have two stealth cams and a moultrie, my first camera. a stealth Cam Pxp26 got eaten by a red squirrel a month after I got it, and the case was compromised! it's almost been a year now and it remains dependable rain or shine only needing new duct tape and batteries every 6 months

I have had a few of the Browning IR trail cameras and they super easy to use, set up and are very reliable. I have also had great results with Exodus trail cams. On the flipside I have owned 4 bushnell trail cameras and each one has failed miserably. Multiple models all with very disappointing results.

great job guys.. i have 6 cameras and hate 3 of them.. i agree that the wildgame innovations are junk... i am switching to Primos cameras now.. great , easy to use and great quality pics and videos.. my newest is the Primos Proof 2... 14 mp and video has audio.. very easy to use, great battery life too...

I have around 20 Covert cams and thought they were the best. Mossy Oak Gamekeeper Shadow are made my Covert. Less than $50 bucks off Ebay. Like all Coverts they're easy to use and great battery life. All my Coverts do take blanks, some worse than others. Especially if they're facing West or East. Have used Buckeye, Cuddeback, Bushnell, Primos and others I can't remember. I started with Coverts way back because they use AA batteries that are easy to find if you're in the boonies. For the money and quality and ease of use I don't see how you can beat them. Check out the Gamekeeper Shadow.

Tasco makes super cheap cameras that they sell at Wal-Mart for like 39 bucks. Photo quality is actually not bad and the batteries seem to last quite awhile. You should check them out!

I agree. I tried a tasco for $25 and if I was covering a lot of public like you guys they would be my go to camera. They are cheap, have a pretty good battery life, pictures aren't great but better than I thought they would be and you can tell what the deer is.
