I love that you left the camera shenanigans in your video and just rolled with it. You completely embody the vibe we have here. Thanks for representing NWA so well and sharing the love for our trails.
Thanks for the review on Rim Trail. When I rode it the first time, I didn't pre-ride since I thought I had a good feel for Bentonville blue. As a "dark blue" trail rider, it was at the edge of my abilities!
We are so fortunate to live here. All the amazing trails for different levels. All the trail crews and volunteers have done an Amazing job getting things back open again. Anneke, Thank you for all the videos and tips. We really appreciate you here. 🇺🇸
That’s the first time I’ve seen all the storm damage😢, some of the trails look so different without all the trees! Thanks for taking us along on your ride
Whoa! So crazy to see how many trees are down. :o I visited Bentonville this last March and it looks so different. Rim Trail had to be my favorite trail, which says a lot because we rode Fireline and Cease and Desist the most. So much fun - great trail check!
I went for Bike Fest for the first time ever and every time I watch Anneke's vids I realized how many trails I missed lol. Def getting back there soon! Soooo many trails. I spent too much time on the Coler and Castle hub trails. Great stuff but between the fest and that, and then the storm, I just ran out of time lol. I'LL BE BACK!
I was there for the tornado and Bentonville Bike Fest and only rode The Back 40 the day after the tornado. It just looks crazy. We will be back in September for Jessy's Wedding and I can't wait to see everything.
So glad to see trails re-opening! I just booked late Sept to be at the start of the Coler Roller and the following week! Might need a little jumping refresher since our trails are mostly XC oriented.
Did you just cross Tiger and “A” diagonally? Dang you DO live dangerously. 😂 I usually ride early in the mornings, and I frequently see you out coaching folks, especially other women. We’re so lucky to have you in here Bentonville.
Holy cow, Red Barn/Barn Burner really did get hammered by the tornado. Goodness. I ususally stay at an Airbnb across NW A St. from Leopard's. Strangely, never taken Heading Home before -- always head down Apple Dumplin. Need to mix it up and head towards the hubs via Heading Home next time.
6:30 Leopard's Loop isn't a Soil-Tac surface. It's paved. Soil-Tac was a failed experiment as seen on the abandoned Blackbird DH trail. That poor trail was a mess mere months after completion. The blacktop on Leopard's loop and Choo Choo has been pretty much maintenance free.
Great video Anneke. Could you do a video listing all of the beginner/intermediate trails? I'll be making my second trip to Bville soon but the last time I was there was not long after the tornadoes so I didn't get to ride much. Thanks!
Fun fact about Rim Trail: halfway through the right hand rock berm at the end, they put one prominent paver in the shape of Arkansas. You can see it at about 10:21
