These guys are brilliant. Perfect chemistry. Ricky= Genius at being dumb: Julian=The perfect straight man: Bubbles= The lovable glue that holds it all together. Proud to be Canadian with these guys. Keep on keep'n on boys. Thanks for the laughs. ( ;
The guy that does Bubbles chatacter is a fucking comedic acting genius. I mean, he sells that shit like its a real person. I thought he might be that real guy for quite awhile.
yeah the funny thing is he is not an actor - he is a musician he was hired to create some music and started fucking around creating a character he called cart boy - and it morphed into bubbles it was so good they wrote it into the show
This is the first interview that I have seen with the boys that hasn't made me feel like that the real people are imposters and that the characters are actually the real people. Great job tom
I don’t think he likes doing it. I mean, you can just tell by the level of aggravation in his voice. Idk if it’s just this episode, but he is completely checked out.
Too bad money and fame corrupts. It eats the soul and you end up a shell of what you once were. Stay hungry, stay broke, struggle is mandatory - sadly.
On a serious note - belated condolences to John Dunsworth AKA "Mr Lahey to his family and friends. He was such an awesome actor and really contributed to the show. The character he portrayed (Mr Lahey) was integral to the spirit of the show and nobody could have even come close to playing the part. Dunsworth's acting was flawless and extremely convincing! He was incredibly funny and he somehow was able to portray a variety of different flaws and emotions to perfection! The older fucks here will get this reference - Dunsworth was so good that he was an even more convincing shit faced drunk than vintage Foster Brooks!! Some of the most hilarious scenes/episodes in T.P.B. revolved around "Lahey & Bobandy" One example was the episode where Ricky shaved Bobandy's hair, then took a permanent black marker and drew a freakishly hilarious hairstyle on Bobandy's bald meat cap! Lahey was an extremely complex role where it was akin to playing multiple diverse characters such as a scheming, bitter ex cop turned trailer park guard who thought he could bamboozle people into believing he was a real cop. His sense of comedy and timing was impeccable! Rest in peace Mr Lahey. Jack ~'()'~ Canada Manly!
I'm from South America. Years ago I found that famous clip of Mr Lahey tripping down stairs with the glass of liquor and I searched the series. As a South American I found absolutely hilarious the depiction of poor people in Canada who struggles trough life and resolves to steal shit and selling dope (the petty thievery that Ricky does is much more common here in south America, it's absolutely hilarious to see the same shit being done in Canada) . It definitively wasn't in my conception of the very organized Canada. This show is underrated AF and I think maybe in the future it will gain a huge fanbase.
I remember when they were still new, after the first season. I saw an interview with the original producers and they said that people write, phone etc. Complaining that this isn’t right taking advantage of a handicap man and many complaints were made about the abuse of bubbles. It’s funny, as yrs later bubbles and a few others bought the trailer park boys franchise from the original producers.
@@miked9466 That’s PC Principal stuff, I was born in the late 70’s grew up in the 80/90s watching Al Bundy on daily basis, so if anyone gets offended by bubbles it must be millennials and mainstream media force feeding that “I’m easily offended” crap down our throats ☠️
I just started to watch the Trailer Park Boys last year during COVID and they helped me thru all the craziness. These guys are awesome and I can't get enough of them. Ricky has to be the funniest character I've ever seen on tv. Love these guys and I hope they continue making us laugh.
Yeah I never even heard of TPB before COVID and throughout the quarantine, I slowly but surely became a diehard fan. I bought the merchandise, watched the entire series and feature films, and even subscribed to Swearnet. This is the most dedicated I’ve been to a media franchise in a very long time.
I’m almost 30 years old now and been watching Tom Green / TPBs since I was a teenager in middle school… Love these guys so much, Legendary forever 🤍 - Xmas Day 2021 🎄
@@keithgraham8588 yes he was but this is not that though. This was the Axis TV version in 2013, 2014. The online one from his living room from 2006 to 2011 was television at its rawest. I just watched one last night where Stevo did whipits and Tom got drunk for 4 hours where they end up puking in the living room at the end. At one point Stevo was naked for some reason. The episodes were constant chaos and drinking and things always going wrong.
@@GorGob I know, right. From 94 to 98 and the 1999 MTV version and early 2000 to 2003 MTV specials it was a stilted awkwardness on purpose and it was funny. And then 2006 to 2011 internet home version (which i absolutely love) he kinda devolved and got obsessed with all the little things that he thought were unprofessional, but not realizing him reacting mad every second to it was even more unprofessional (even though sometimes Kaufmanish yelling, sometimes not, real yelling). And then he got professional again by the 2013 to 2014 Axis TV version like in this clip, but carried over the twitchy awkwardness as I think it is now part of him for real it seems. Here to stay. He now comes off like Tom Snyder in his mannerisms. But I will say this though. For some reason the only time I saw him as in my mind one of the best to ever do it was the 2003 The New Tom Green Show. He is super relaxed and having a good time and super good at his job. It is really weird that he forgot how to be that guy.
Yeah, he's always like that. His true nature but he plays it up too. It's his style now. On the internet show from his living room from 2006-2011 he is always uptight and gets fixated on what's not going right. Adhd or something. And he would always yell at his staff. Half act half real. He behaves alot more in these Studio shows like this one but the weird uprtightness carries over a little bit. I grew to love it.
When you're doing a network show you're walking on eggshells, with Tom's name being a part of production he has a lot of responsibilities to make sure a fine line is walked or it's his ass. The show was cancelled after the Dice interview where coincidentally Tom shouts out a beer named after him meanwhile Budweiser is the one backing the show (an American beer company vs a small craft beer company from Canada that has no US market).
@@agitatedmongoose He hasn't officially said what happened ;but I don't think the show was supposed to end on that episode as Tom never said a single thing about it being the last one.
Now imagine seeing these 3 boys on a proper Podcast where they get to properly talk and tell stories. I love Tom Green... but he rushes every moment which otherwise might turn out golden.
Treating people with respect? To everyone HE HAD call in " that's your question really" "That's it?" "Thats what you came up with?" Like jesus christ just cut the segment Dude is a washed up hack with as much talent as the people that called in on Skype. The ads were easier to listen to than him.
I love you guys but Tom Green is awkward AF. Did you guys like not get stoned with Tom before the show because y'all look and sound high AF and Tom is intense. And Julian is way too high he looks scared multiple times and the rest extremely confused. 😂 Julian hasn't said shit and just looks up every time a question gets asked lol. Most awkward show ever. Then Tom tries to drink the celery stick.
whole cast trailer park boys comedic geniuses. saw j-roc outta character N blew my mind. they all sell their characters as 100% legit personas. lahey & ricky my favzzz
when i first started watching trailer park boys it drove me nuts trying to think where i had seen mike smith ( bubbles ) before. the one day i was watching "dances with wolves " enough said . watch dances with wolves and see. also very proud that rob wells is a helix fan a band i used to play in
@@carolynwilbur1627 when the army comes to check on kostner and find out he has defected there is a scene where the camera pans all the soldiers and mike smith gets a close up for a few seconds. he is wearing glasses and is in bubbles mode!
I've not watched a single Tom Green "anything" since his days on MTV. Dude seems really happy. Cheers to you Tom and may we all find what brings us lasting joy ✌
This host looks like he’s 2 days away from unaliving himself. I hope he’s doing better. Looks terrible and makes this feel like he’s in trouble in school and has to talk to strangers he hates.
It's crazy watching clips from the past, as soon as they clinked glasses my first thought was 'why aren't they socially distancing'. What shit show the world has become.
my favorite is the first episode when the camera crew got shot, and the movie when Bubbles was searching for his family... loved it! and the season with S.Bach... :)
Tpb are Canadian heros. Their show will go down as one of the best comedy shows ever. But tom is terrible at interviewing people. He looks like he wants to go home.
There were only two great series on MTV back in the day when they still had clout and that’ll be Tom Green; The Andy Dick Show was hilariously brilliant so naturally they’d cancel it. Trailer Park Boys is truly a masterpiece of a series whether it’s from Canada or Australia some of the best films ever written by people who have an incredible eye for an outsider’s view on another’s country and culture is just so exciting to watch for all of Us concerned with our favourite films; series + other projects that will always remain our favorites ❤ Love ya’ Tommy boy!!
