So the turtle shells will be finding a home on my beach, fire flower will be on my second island for my jungle theme, the warp tunnel will be at my house and at the airport and I’m going to be sporting Princess Peach drip 🤣
i’m actually really excited for this!! i’m just scared of the fact that we didn’t get a preview of when the next trailer is gonna be. now we’re just left in the dark for a while 😅
this wasn't a regular trailer .... this was nintendo direct .. they announced in the last update that the next update to animal crossing is going to be MARCH
I wonder if the Large/Small Mushroom Platform will mean that we can make our own bridges across cliffs, and stairs? The use of the word platform gives the understanding that we can walk/stand on them, or maybe jump between them like in Mario. Perhaps the floating blocks will allow for a bridge too?
Another thing: When they were scrolling through the new items in the nook shopping there was a at the top calendar meaning that there will potentially be new seasonal items
The novelty is cute & I’d use the more subtle items and put the warp pipes behind cliffs but I was really hoping for something quality of life or DLC based 😔 this is really suited to certain island types (kid core, mini games etc) but as someone who isn’t a huge mario fan it’s just like meh 🤷🏻♀️
100-% agree! I’m really hopeful for that kind of update in March. I like the pipe and maybe the mushroom platforms for decor but that’s pretty much it 😅
Immediately what I'm thinking with the warp pipe is now we might be able to travel to the 4th cliff level whenever we want. Just use the terraforming glitch to get up and place a pipe and then you can pretty much fast travel to that point without having to use the glitch again
I plan to place a Warp pipe next to my house, and the other next to the airport. I'm excited to see if you can hide the pipes by surrounding them with a single layer of cliff, so it's like you're just hopping into a hole in the ground.
I doubt you can Do that. The cliff itself will Not allow you to jump from it and Into the pipe, just like you cant jump from a Plattform to a lower Plattform. I guess, if you want to jump Into the warp Pipe, you need to stand right next to it

Yea I am currently surrounding my plaza with a bit of like a lake kinda thing (go look at tigers video Turning My Plaza Into An Island) so I’m gonna put one outside my house or nooks cranny and one near my plaza for when I need items or a tool breaks

I love that you can just straight up buy the items from Nooks. I’m sick of trying to hunt down every item. I don’t have a lot of friends who also still play so I’m hunting items on my own 😅
So are we really 100% sure on the house colorization? I honestly don't remember ever seeing that color of blue as an option. The red roof yes already, but the blue?

I am excited about the warp pipe, this is going to be so much fun. I hope the villagers can use it as well although Egbert might get his feathers in a fluff on the way through! I hope the blocks stack...they would make a great fort.
I think those 3 floating blocks are 1 item, not three. What is a shame. But I love all the items and I cant wait to buy and use them. Also, the warp pipes will be supwr cool on Crunchy's island!!

abdallah smash made a good point in his video that the scroll bar on the promotional items screen isn’t all the way down, so it seems like there may actually be more mario items that weren’t shown or named in the trailer! 🤯
I can’t wait to see how people use the blocks to make/improve buildings! This update also made me realize how much I want them to add jumping 🤩 like imagine jumping on the mushroom tops!
It’d be neat if March was just a “Collaboration Update Month” with the Mario Items, Sanrio Collab returning, possibly an expansion to the Pocket Camp connection; heck, maybe even Zelda or Pokemon items returning to celebrate their anniversaries. I know it’s unlucky for the later two, but even a fully flushed out Sanrio return along with Mario this month, I feel like would warrant that type of title.
In my opinion Pat... this was a Nintento Direct update .. the game VS game for NINTENDO .. in MARCH they will come out with their regular animal crossing updates .. but I am not holding my breath for a big update in march because they have been working on this for a while ... but it would be nice to get Brewster's and some other quality of life updates .. but again not holding my breath, they have a habit of not listening to what the fans have been asking for. But this was a cute update, we will see.
I... Cant see me using this items much. I love them! But for MY island, they wouldn't fit or match. maybe if I was kidcore? But no, i won't be using them much. Which is sad, because they look amazing!
I don't like Mario and I've never played any of the games, so I was expecting to not like this update, but those pipe things I can get behind. It'll make things on my island soooo much easier.
These pipes will change so many islands! You could use this hidden in one of your jungle caves to make it feel like the cave is that long that you went to the other side of the mountain! Also this would be great for your minigame island to play hide and seek with hidden pipes! You don’t HAVE to use this inspo, but I think that it could be a great idea, love your vids! 😁
This will be so useful when I am building something on my island. I could put a pipe where my house is or in my house and the other one where I am currently building an area!
I think that you will sadly be only able to put 2 pipes in total on your island, because think about it. If you have 4 pipes where will you go to? I hope that i am wrong, but I think that this could be a thing....
I got a feeling the warp pipes is only 2 max cause multiple ones would be hard to know which pipe you exist unless if there customize then if I place like a red one then I exist out of the red one...if this isn't a thing then gosh nintendo read this and do it!
