Gotta admit when rean said “Fakes........YOU’RE BOTH FAKES!!!!” I got chills man. Plus the opening playing while fighting him was legendary, ngl I was crying dog.
I never thought it would but it really hurt to have valimar like this for so long. Seriously I never thought " Heed my call, Valimar the Ashen Knight! " and then hearing Valimar say " Acknowledged. " would actually mean so much to me until it's taken away.
Just noticed something. The last time Lianne fought side by side with Dreichels is against the vermilion apocalypse and saving Erebonia. I imagine this part is quite the little trip to memory lane for her. Shame Roselia is not there in person to see it
I just noticed that in the fragments scene (After defeating Rean), they made Rean sound more human after each cluster of fragments returned to him, as if to say "All these people need me, I need to fight this curse!" Plus, the power surge that came out of Rean when he was defeated was eerily similar to the surge of power the Nameless One got before it destroyed Valimar's tachi
The curse and Rean being the Ultimate Sacrifice help to explain a lot of the reason why his friends were able to get to him and save from the many traps he get into throughout the past 3 games.
@@najmudinnaufal5684 In one of the shrines, Class VII sees a vision of a dying elderly Dreichels being plagued by Ishmelga, then Lianne shows up and Dreichels recalls their promise to grow old together being broken due to her dying and being revived. I think you see a glimpse of it in the 2nd shrine, and you see it again after defeating Rose.
@@davidtimmer596 that is so sad, really. i mean, i can't imagine how is her feelings when she just lived again only to watched her beloved with someone else, again.
You can tell both his and Laura's replacements tried really hard to emulate the original performances. I feel like Osborne has it worse, he very noticeably lacks that gravelly timbre from before.
@@DistributionMackerel I was hoping Richard Epcar would've been the replacement instead, because he has that deep enough basso gravitas to sound convincing enough. I know people are gonna draw parallels to Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless, but his voice sounds closer to the original English voice.
*Activates Ebon Crest* *Rean uses Termination Slash -Dusk* *Craft reflects* Me: "WHAAAAAT?!" Also me: "I didn't know Ebon Crest blocked S-Crafts! Well, not that i'm complaining, I probably would've been done for if not for that..."
when it comes to Rean's name being in katakana in the boss fight, I think this is to indicate that due to being in his ogre form when he's affected by the Great Twilight, his conscience is in shatters (This could also be why the subtitle is "A Shattered Blade"), and all of the fragments were Rean regaining his conscience through his memories(?), since Millium was there despite being transformed into the SOTE, and Valimar despite losing his thought processor via the transformation. Ultimately resulting in him reclaiming his name
His name isn't written in katakana, it's just distorted; the same effect was used on the Japanese side, but "REAN" doesn't actually resemble his name as written in katakana - リィン - anyway. In the fight itself, they just called him ???, though yeah, your analysis is pretty much what they were going for
Not gonna lie I struggled alot with that osborne and arianhod fight mostly because of how fucking stupidly op osborne is took me an hr to get the ap requirements
@@celica9288 Just crush him. And even if he did get his s craft could always defend against it lol. Like most Trails games if you have the right setup every fight is simple
@@CGInferno Exactly it looked like his Musse had a really good arts setup that was able to shred most of his hp and also the liberal use of the insight buff. Also in this fight he doesnt use his infernal gale
Look I don't know where Grandmasters identity thing is going but unless they do something pretty cool with it I would have made it either be the steel maiden or Osborne. If it were the steel maiden then Ouroboros would have been made to try and banish Ismelga and the curse, if it were Osborne (the version I like better) it would be the exact opposite Ouroboros would have been made to fulfill Ismelga's and the curses wishes. I am saying they are wanking Ouroboros way to hard and unless they have a clear plan for who their leader is and what their goals are it might fall on top of them
I personally ascribe to the theory that Adios herself is the grandmaster, I mean why else would Ourboros want to collect Sept Terrions like they are trading cards
@@Maghanashi Such as the dream at the beginning of the game, where his name was censored in the dorms, and his awakening when the first thing he asks is "I...who...am...?" (Before breaking free from the prison)
