Huh, y'know, it's kinda funny that in that dream/nightmare, Juna saw Cedric joining the tea ceremony club. I know it's probably unimportant in the grand scheme of things but, well, it's an interesting little detail imo.
Well since all 3 of them were having the same dream I guess it means Kurt and Altina could also see that happening or perhaps that’s why the dream had him in multiply clubs
Love the small detail in the dream sequence that Ash and Musse’s class emblem medals are torn off to show their ambiguous position as members of Class VII at this point
I guess it makes sense that out of all of them, Altina was the one struck hardest, since it was due to her walking into the Ironbloods' trap that cost Millium her life, and Rean being attacked by the Corrupted Holy Beast, which made him lose control of his ogre power and turned him into a full ogre by the Great Twilight amplifying the power, elevating it into a sort of demon power, I guess? Thus making him stay in that state permanently
.....You know, maybe it was a good thing that Juna and Class VII said that to Rean's friends. After all, Rean's friends are also negatively affected by what has happened. 'The senior being cheered up by the junior' is actually a good thing. After all, they are human. It sort of reminds me of one episode of Gekiranger, where some of the masters where (even though he was their friend) were ridiculing the shark master because of how he taught (or something similar). In the end, one the masters stated that just because they are masters, doesn't mean that they can't learn a few more things. That while they can teach and train the students, this experience can also make the master learn some things as well.
Definitely. And it shows Rean's influence on her especially, considering their rough start in the beginning of Cold Steel 3, and how she's finally applying all he taught her on how to make your own decisions and rally people close to you. That speech was the ultimate result of Juna's time in Class VII shaping her into who she is now. A capable, loyal friend and classmate and leader when Rean's not around to offer guidance. The speech didn't feel forced or tacked on, it felt earned and natural. And I'm drawing parallels to Ann in Persona 5, when she rallies the Phantom Thieves to save Joker after he gets incarcerated, and Morgana's not around.
Rean: I'm sorry...everyone. It's all my fault. I've ruined everything! Ogre Rean: Those gremlins were never your friends. You're better off alone, Rean. Without them, you can finally be something greater, something more than just a pathetic shell of who you were. Rean: Go away! Maybe it would've been better if I'd died back then. That way everyone else would live happier lives without me getting involved. Ogre Rean: *Chuckle* There's only one way to be free! Seek vengeance against that man! He's the one who set this world on its course. The exquisite taste of his blood on your sword will satiate that desire for revenge. Don't waste time on pathetic sentimentality! Didn't slaughtering that beast feel good? Your friend died like a dog and became a soulless weapon, and you wanted nothing more than to hack away its corpse! Rean: You're a disembodied voice! A vile, ugly specter. Do not torment me again! I'm imagining Rean's ogre form like the negative sides of Samurai Jack. I know with Celine turning into a human, people draw parallels from Bleach with Ichigo and his Hollow, and I can see that, but I also think of the moments of Samurai Jack when Jack's negative emotions emerge as a voice in his head taunting him.
Every time I watch this scene, I always get goosebumps, because of Juna's development. She finally steps up, rallies everyone and becomes the leader Class VII needed, until they get Rean back of course, and they go all in with how she's grown. Randy really knew what he was talking about when Rean was assigned as Juna's teacher. Gaius even calls her Class VII's bridge to the world.
That whole we know Rean better than you line to old class VII even though they just Rean met like 4 months ago was so disrespectful. I know the devs wanted to push Juna as a defacto leader in Rean's absence but this scene made her look so condescending in my opinion. The devs could of had her say "look I know you're hurting and doubting yourselves right now but what would Rean want you to do right now?" "He would want you to get back up and keep fighting to find a solution.
lmao why? Did you forget that Rean's classmates separated from him for a year? Sure they probably still kept in contact and visited, but when it comes to what Rean's been up to on a daily basis, the new class would absolutely know better because they've been seeing more of him, not to mention they had a front row seat to him wailing on the holy beast in the last game
@@darknessknows1235 Yeah by knowing him for a couple of months. No man years vs months makes no sense. It makes New Class VII look arrogant? It also shows how forced they are as characters in the narrative of the story except Altina, who was with Rean during those events during the occupation of Ambria.
@@zerofudou5689 @Zero Fudou Think back to the structure of the last game. While Old 7 did show up a lot to help and talk to Rean, ultimately they didn't and haven't been interacting with him as often while New 7 had seen EVERY TIME Rean was doing something and his usual habits. Yes, intellectually Old 7 are just as familiar with his habits, but New 7 are the ones who've experienced it. Don't forget that in 2, a time where Old 7 had experienced Crow's death and the Civil War with Rean, and also saw him off to Crossbell and back and also them leaving him, it was only Towa who had seen him struggling on the inside and fully consoled him. This is why New 7 have the right to remind them of Rean's struggles. They may not have seen him break down, but they've seen him time and time again try and do his best at the potential cost of himself like when he's consistently preparing to unleash his Ogre form and Valimar. Hate it all you want, but in just about every way possible, it fully makes sense and works.
@@darknessknows1235 You talk as if old Class VII haven't seen him try his best again and as well at the cost of himself as well. Hell remember Cold Steel 3 had Emma looking for a way to suppress Rean's ogre power so it wouldn't consume him. So, no it does not make sense to make as if old Class VII didn't already know of Rean's struggles. It's been a thing since the first Cold Steel game when they found out about his powers. Everything about New Class VII except Altina is narratively forced. Juna's connection to the SSS, forced. Kurt being related to Mueller Vander and supposing to be Cedric's own Mueller, forced. Ash being a secret third survivor of Hamel who just so happened to know Joshua, forced. Musse being related to the royal family as well as being almost on the level of Chancellor Osborn as chess master, forced. Trails 3 would've been better if it was about Rean reuniting with Old Class VII one by one when he is on missions as a Bracer or government with a team he could trust. His team would be Altina as field support, mission's operator Towa, tech support Schmidt and Tita still as an apprentice. The next game could be the same except we could've had Old Class VII step up without Rean with help from previous Trails characters earlier and longer to search for Rean.
@@zerofudou5689 Again, you're just straight up ignoring the fact that Old 7 have just not been around Rean as often in CS3 and that they already have a habit of not really noticing his mental struggles. Juna isn't saying they know him better than Old 7, she's saying they have a better point of view on his current struggles. It shouldn't be a hard concept for you to understand how having a front row seat and being helped by Rean from being his student to the battle in the Gral makes it all more central on their minds as opposed to Emma and Alisa being with him in Crossbell for a day or two, then separating him for a few weeks while he goes on through another ordeal for a day or two with someone else from Old 7. Even the bit about knowing his suffering, if you're really going to bitch, can just be about how Old 7 isn't in the mindstate to think about Rean. There's nothing very disrespectful about it. I will say that if looking at previous games and acting as if anything that wasn't on screen is forced, it's only really Juna. Ash someone who also happened to survive hardly needs a mind hoop, Musse being pretty smart is no different from the introduction of other characters being really smart or really strong, the Vanders being bigger doesn't even need much thought either.
I'm sorry but why did you cut out the "exploration, chest finding, quest, mini-games, etc" segments of your walkthrough cause i'm so lost watching it. Heck it even skip the part where they learned musse's true identity
@@brahmantyoihsan5938 Maybe it was the direction she was given, but understandable considering she saw the Courageous explode, and how she's trying to stay strong, but the Courageous exploding, Millium's death, and Rean's despaired state and capture affected her heavily, hence why she sounds more choked up and about to break.
