The orange colour of the TGV is so iconic. Its a pity that they did not keep it. The current generations look just like any other high speed train. You would not stop and look at it anymore.
I like how we bring back retro liveries from time to time here in Britain. As much as I love the Intercity liveries of yesteryear, this TGV is probably the sexiest looking train ever built. They need to bring back the orange!
@JEnrwRIDINGZ the TGV is electric, obviously there's no overhead lines here so it needs the power of steam and diesel to be pulled over this line, although why it's here in the first place I don't know
The very first TGV was gas turbine powered. With the oil crisis the design was repurposed with electric traction. This seems to be a historic colour scheme like TGV 001.

Well, sort of… maybe on paper. Reality is not so easy if you would like to have more randomly selected engines actually operating. Or if you cnsider how difficult is to operate a single locomotive across more than four or five countries across Europe compared to a car going from one end to another :)))
It's hard to imagine a more picturesque video... A beautiful bridge, a wonderful river, rain,trees... And the most beautiful TGV, which is pulled by several and.. Steam locomotive

@@diymicha2 😉😁 ja, das ist war! Der Ur-TGV war damals mit Gasturbine erprobt worden! Ein interessanter Werdegang des Zuges! Sehr interessant finde ich den Spanischen Talgo mit Dieselmotor-Generator Beiwagen, der auch Umspurbar ist! In Deutschland sollen einige ICE L mit der BR 248 bespannt werden! Mal sehen, was die Zukunft bringt!😉😁🫡

@@karljonas2448 aber in Spanien war der Talgo Generatorwagen nur dafür da weil die Loks es nicht konnten. Schau mal rüber nach Israel. Dort fahren die Dostos auch mit Dieselgenerator. Egal ob E-Lok (Traxx 3) oder Vossloh Euro 4000 Diesel Lok. Und die 248 mit dem ICE L wird wahrscheinlich auch überall die InterCity Linien ersetzen wo die 218 oder andere Diesel Loks fahren. Deswegen die 248 🥹
@ Wenn ich mal in Spanien bin, möchte ich gerne mal den Talgo 730 Hybrid mitfahren! Es wäre schön, allgemein in Europa vermehrt Zweikraftzüge einzusetzten! Egal, ob im Nah oder Fernverkehr!
I lived in France back in the early 90s for college. It was always a thrill to ride in the orange TGV trains. Tours to Paris especially. 30 years later and it's still a gorgeous train.
Cette sirène me donne des frissons, elle me rappelle celles des trains qui arrivaient à Dakar avant la fermeture de la ligne (2018 je crois) Les 15/20 derniers km étaient très "encombrés" et les conducteurs s’en donnaient à cœur joie pour prévenir en rivalisant dans les rythmes et les mélodies. Le soir, le matin, c’était un régal d’entendre le train arriver de Bamako. Merci de réveiller ces souvenirs.
this is a rather unusual movement a 1980s high speed train being pulled by 2 double headed loco's + a steam engine on a single track they must have been going to some preserved railways or on a rail tour!!! Nice video though A very rare and unusual movement for sure!!!🥰😍🤩
Love the TGV in orange. Back in the 1990s, we were touring through France to a Harley Davidson rally from England. We looked in a terminus station in some town and there were loads of them all lined up. Took photos of them on slide film.
Entre la République Tchèque où ils l'avaient mis sur une ligne de tramway, et là où elle passe sur une ligne abandonnée, décidément elle en aura connu des terrains différents cette rame 16 😂😂 Magnifique convoi ! 😊😍
It was not a tram line, but spur to exhibition grounds, but it had looked like tram tracks, but that line was sadly shortly after that dismantled due to reconstruction of the street. As well i do not think that it went on any abandoned line, but most likely it was some main line that is just scheduled for large scale reconstruction.
Magnifique mais trop courte vidéo, de toute beauté la CC 72000 et le TGV 23000 ainsi que la 140 C. Dommage que la BB 67000 n'est pas conservée sa livrée "bleu diesel". Où était la 241 P 17 du Creusot ? Merci d'avoir filmé cet ensemble insolite.
Les trains me laissent assez indifférent, je m'en fous quoi, j'en vois toute la journée sur la ligne Strasbourg-Bâle qui passe à côté de chez moi (il y a même des ICE et des trains suisses) mais là j'avoue que c'est vraiment top, j'aime ces grands-mères.

Stuff the horns the horns sounded like crap and they drowned out the chuff of the steam engine and the steam whistle fun fact the horns are still called whistles in the train world
@@sammy_dog The horns sounded great. Have you never heard a single- or two-chime horn? Also, horns are horns. Whistles are when air passes over a hole and makes noise. A horn is when compressed air is pushed into a power chamber and amplified with a diaphragm. They're very different.
@@F59PHI it would not matter if the horns were a 500 chime horn they still sound like crap and I do know the difference between a horn and a whistle I was just saying that if you worked in the train world they still call a horn a whistle
