Larry Johnson Thank you. :) There are several classifications of stop signal violations in Sweden. But in short, if the driver was not at error (e.g. the signal turned red right in front of the moving train), the incident is noted and recorded and the driver can carry on. But if it was the driver's fault (e.g. not noticing a stop signal when starting from a platform), the train must be stopped immediately (will happen automatically if the train and track has the ATC system), and the driver is not allowed to move the train even one centimeter. A replacement driver will be called to the scene (in order to continue the journey), and the driver at fault will be removed and subjected to a drug/alcohol test to rule out any suspicions in that area. During the following days, the driver will sit down for a conversation with someone at his/her company, discussing why the incident happened and how to prevent it from happening again. A physical examination might also be required, as well as a refresher course, before the driver in reinstated. So no penalties, besides perhaps a day's lost pay (as the driver is put on sick leave after the incident). If the same driver does it again, the investigation will be deeper and longer. Eventually, the driver may lose his/her job altogether. It has happened.

Well, yes and no. I am a train driver and this was my view. ;) These trains have cabins at both ends and at this moment I was riding along in the one going last.

Dana Mack This wasn't a locomotive. This was an EMU, an Electrical Multiple Unit, called an X31 (Öresundståg). :)

Nathan. Yes, it is possible. But I thought people would be more interested in looking at _new_ railroad stretches. ;)I'll keep your suggestion, though. At least I got to get Hallandsåsen (the ridge near Båstad) in 4K before the tunnel is finished. So... perhaps I got the whole stretch in 4K by this time next year?

***** It's not forbidden _per se_, but at least my employer have a policy saying that all electronic devices *not* related to work are forbidden in the cabin. And I don't need a video camera to drive a train... ;)

+SeeWhatYouSee That's a bit complicated, but I'll try: I used two layers of the same track. The bottom track was graded with FilmConvert (FJ 8543 VD) with the CineLike D profile. The top track was also graded with FilmConvert, but with KD 5207 Vis3 and exposure pulled down around half a stop. This track was cropped to around 80 percent with 615 pixels of edge feather, thus making the otherwise blown out sky appear more natural.
