The Flåm Railway has been voted one of the most scenic and beautiful train ride in the world. I'm sharing this amazing view from my perspective as a Train Driver / Engineer on the Flåm Railway.
On this trip we're going from Flåm at sea leve to Myrdal that is 866m above sea level and functions as the connecting station to the Bergen Line. The weather this day has us going through both sun and rain on our way to Myrdal.

Rain and sun at the same time on this run from Flåm to Myrdal. Summer love indeed. This has been one of the few days with rain this summer. Unusual heat and drought has hit the usually wet west coast.

I have been a rail fan since I was 6 years old. It broke my heart that I could not be a Pullman porter when I grew up but I was not an African American and I was not male but it did make the fellow who was a porter laugh and feel proud of his profession. The train tours on this channel are wonderful. We are all stuck in one place because of the virus but I can travel wherever you and my imagine can take me. Hugs and blessings to all.

I've been taking these scenic virtual train journeys to satisfy my itch for travel, which given the current circumstances, is not happening. I'm falling in love with these gorgeous views, and definitely hope to take these rail journeys for real, in person. Someday.

reminds me of where I grew up in Washington State, the Skagit Valley. Looks a LOT like it. I can see why so many Norwegians settled in that area of Washington. Beautiful. I took it for granted growing up there.. however, I'm noticing that its mostly deciduous trees instead of large evergreen conifers, which is a big difference

I went backpacking many, many years ago and when in Norway, I took the late night train from Oslo to Bergen. I was snoozing when I woke up because the train was slowing down. I looked out the window at this incredible view. I had no idea where we were until we pulled into Myrdal station. I fell in love with Myrdal and the area ever since. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to go back but hope that this can happen in the future.

Hey !! I just saw this line on "Impossible.Engineering.S04E05.Monster.Mountain.Trains." as soon as i saw the background I knew I seen it somewhere before, and then they announced Flåm.. Kinda of nice to recognise a place on TV after being introduced to it by people like yourself.

There is no such thing as mediocrity with this awesome lady!!! Yes, some of her earlier videos are lengthy but that just makes for a more comfortable, restful and enjoyable experience. The "complete" package, as weather and time allow. HCG: YOU did it again! I could never tire of riding along up or down the Flam line. Please excuse me as my keyboard will not reproduce that little "o" on top of the "A". As we here would say it - FLOM! (I think). Too bad we're 4,550 miles apart. This old man could be persuaded to go to Norway if just to invite her to join me for dinner, if only Lutefisk? You do serve steaks in Norway, don't you? it is always such a pleasure to get a notice that HCG has posted a new video. Heading over to watch it now. ...another great video! I love seeing the lush scenery, It's hard to imagine that you are in drought conditions. I love seeing the flowing rivers and runoff from the mountains. A few questions please: 1) the homes in the mountainous areas, are they year round residents or seasonal? 2) is there any animal life in your area? I have not seen fowl or mammal in any of the videos. Thank you again for all you do.
