Honestly the Class 43’s horn has got be the best sounding when it comes to making little tunes.

Interesting. I always thought the horns sequenced automatically. I did not know they used a "joystick" style air valve.

I get 444s, 450s, 220s and 221s round my area and so I get sooooo many horns 🤘

my god! some great tones there! one question, if a driver was to go mad with the horn and blast it quite often cold they get in trouble for it or are they allowed to blast the horn as many times they like? :)

I understand about the situation and most times when I get let in the cab it's authorised by driver managers. But I can't understand why the management purposely look for the drivers to make an error, it's as if they have nothing better to do. e.g. I posted a video of a class 67 at Neville Hill and they got their nickers in a twist over that, I think it's pathetic. I am causing no harm and have a great intrest in the railways. Thanks for the advice anyway LOL!

@TheTSGR they have a noe horn and a chord horn. it is the chord horn that makes it sound american

Its a DVT, its not a locomotive. the locomotive is found at the other end of the train a Class 91, it is basically a push pull system which allows the driver to drive from the DVT. These trains are also know as MK4s

how did you get the cab ride. are you a driver or part of the company or just really lucky

Its because DVTs and class 91s have a chord horn aswell as a tone one. this is what makes it sound american
