BIG Indiana & Ohio Railway Train Passes Abandoned Train Station That Is About To Fall Down! Look What Happens After We See Inside The Station. Rail Shelling Up Close. Big Mismatched Assortment Of Locomotives Pulling 2 Trains On Tight Curve. These trains are in Midland, Ohio on ex CSX tracks that used to be Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Midland is east of Blanchester and the outro shows downtown Blanchester.
The dilapidated train station is reported to be on its last days. The windows and doors were removed and it might be razed soon. Look how lucky I got! I had been wanting to get one more train by the station before it disappears. It was supposed to be torn down a few years ago but the world sickness delayed it. On this day we heard the scanner get active when I was at 1960gambits home so we went to the I&O Railroad. We found out that the train would be going by the station so we went there and waited. I filmed the inside of the station and showed how bad it is. I also show the shelling on the rail head next to the station. Which is worse? Lol. leave a comment. I showed the railroad switching that was going on at the Midland City Yard.
The I&O mixed freight passed by with an interesting assortment of leased locomotives. Which one is your favourite ? This was a huge train for a short line railroad. Look how lucky I got after the train passed! A second train followed it! This was the switcher with an orange locomotive in the Genesee & Wyoming paint scheme. 4 cool looking locomotives! I couldn't believe that I got to film 2 trains passing the station. The best frequencies here are 161.220 for I&O road channel and 452.9375 for EOT. I rode here with Scott, 1960gambit and we also went to Camden, Ohio.
Don't forget the outro with the pets and the slide show that came from this video. Notice that the kids got some baby pigs. I had pigs years ago and had a pig pen near the pond. We moved the panels and set up a new pen. The kids also want to get cows again so I am working on my fences again. I ordered 128 wood posts and so far have shipped half of them home. It's just a hobby.
Are my shout outs up to date? I tried to include everyone who requested one. If I missed you just give me a reminder. Sometimes I miss a few comments so you may have to ask again.
UPDATE: This train station burnt to the ground on January 1, 2024 around 2am. See my video of it that includes some flash backs to trains passing it. RIP 1885 Midland Station!
Filmed Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Hello Jaw, the station building looks terrible. Soon all it takes is a breeze and it collapses like a house of cards. Really, really sad. 😢Do any photos still exist when the station was still in operation? That would be the right station building for a model railway.😊 I'll watch the video in peace this evening. Many greetings from Germany Wolfgang

Thank you for the great video of the Big manifest rumbling by the old, crumbling train station. The building has a beautiful design to it and should have been save. @@JawToothbut yet, where is it? Still there, and in such deplorable shape. I would think it poses a serious danger to the passing trains and crews!😮😮😮 Looks like if a really fast moving train rumbled by, that building would fall over, into and onto the train and tracks, causing a lot of damage to both. Maybe even cause a catastophic derailment in the process. As bad as that dilapidated building is, it should get torn down A.S.A.P. It's a danger to anyone or anything that gets near it, from the looks of it.
@ronaldharvinjr636
@ronaldharvinjr636 10 месяцев назад
I'm imagining that building when it was new and the first employees that was India and all the history of communicating with trains that came out of that station. That station kept a worker's home, paid bills, sent children to school, went on vacations. They probably brought their kids there. I also think about the last person that was assigned there and then it was closed and now sits abandoned ready for demolition. Wow, history is amazing!

Jawtooth, That was one of the best videos you have ever posted! I liked the first train with the three leased units from three different railroads! The old train station is really cool, but sad to see it is going to be torn down. It makes a great photo/video backdrop for passing trains... great job!!! If it wouldn't be that the building is in such a dangerous condition it would make the perfect Halloween haunted house. IORY was trying hard to replicate those NS gondola trains going through Cincinnati. Even the locomotives were decked out in the paint schemes of owners past while their own paint scheme is appropriately orange and black. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on this regional line and a farewell to yet another depot Passing into history

I’m guessing the top level of that station was probably a signal house. Looks like it probably dates back to the early 1900s. really neat seeing the old ticket window. one of the rooms with the shelves in it was probably for mail because that’s how the mail was moved years ago.

Another classic by Jaw Tooth. Perfect setting, with that last days station, a curve in the tracks, coming and going, and time of day. Your two years of waiting was finally rewarded with a very long train. Love that green-livery box car at 4:42. There's a lot of seriously interesting graffiti on that first train. I rhink that's the chattiest frequency (161.220} you've ever recorded. Great that you caught some switching action at the Greenfield Yard. Nice architecture for that depot. Wonder if anyone can post a picture of it when it was all spiffy and busy? Thanks for your continuing excellence in video operation and RR information. The piglets are wonderful.

Love that old station, one of my favourite places you film from! I know you only rarely go there and next time that derelict station maybe gone. I remember the last time you where there you did go inside and I think even attempted to go upstairs??? You told the story in more detail how you caught a train from there, and I think in your late teens? So, it has particular fond memories. Yes, it is a shame to see it decay to ruin! Loved the trains, loved that angle you film the trains from, that cured side view is one my pet perspectives of trains passing. Loved that beautiful trees in the background, too... just all adds and sums up to a great video. The pets and pigs (and kids in the background) round it out, well, too. Thanks, JT!

Thanks for having this channel. I love your videos and appreciate the pets and personal sharing. Jaw Tooth is awesome! Old depot is super cool. It would have been nice if they could have preserved it.

Interesting lineup on the first train. LTEX 2376 EMD SD40N, LTEX 8641 SD50-2, AND IORY 4490 GE Dash 9- 44CW. You can tell from the colors where they came from. LTEX Larry's Truck and Electric, does that sound like a company name for locomotive and railcar rentals. IORY liked the Dash 9 so well they bought it from LTEX.

That depot is easily one of the most depressing sights I've seen in awhile.

👍 video. Pigs are farrowed, plows leave furrows and sometimes wheels barrow. OKAY OKAY I'll leave the rhyming to its sorrow!🤔😁

super nice vid there - loved that first train, perfect shot right next to the depot and the motive power was really interesting too, (ex UP cyclops cab? holy cow.) That rail sure is beat to heck too...

The station caught fire 3 months ago. It was built in 1885. The 2 story section and the small room to the right is gone. Just the little bay side facing the rail yard is all that is left.

Hello JT We have The Huron and Eastern Railroad that runs down from Bay City, Michigan to Durand and works the Thumb areas. They have the same orange and black engines as Indiana and Ohio. Owned by Genesee and Wyoming company. Perfect paint colors for October🚂🎃🎃🎃

Dang. Pretty dilapidated. Tear it down, salvage parts and use the rest for firewood.

Wow! It looks like that track should have been replaced some time ago. The heavy engines and cars probably just caused some of that damage. The rail top gets "peened" over and loses its shape. Eventually, that can lead to a derailment and/or a complete rail failure. The trains were definitely very cool, though :)
