I have played this DLC for nearly 8 years and I still cannot climb over the long-steep up slope after the train left the Bath Junction without being late and nine time out of ten my train may stop on the slope. It is quite hard to find a suitable place for reverser and throttle
looking at this it does not give true scale of S&D. as distance from Radstock to Midsomer Norton is only about a mile away in real life. but the game looks impressive.
Rather too much use of "long lens" views for my liking. Zooming out a bit would give 1) more realistic views and 2) less jerkiness when moving the mouse.
Looks better than I remember it some years ago when the game was launched, any reason the signals are being pulled off in the opposite direction? totally wrong operationally.... but the graphics are looking better now otherwise.
***** It's a shame the game can't wait until the train or player is at the next station well out of sight before resetting signals or while the route loaded does not set any signals expect the ones for that scenario! So as such it's game limitations not the signalling.
@@Kory-Edits2024 40 minutes later. Well although written long time ago. VW AI locos give warning whistles as they leave. So in a way I’ve answered my own question. 😂
