It’s in game, some trains that were express and freight trains treasured and where excellent trains, such as the black 5, lasted to the last day of steam on British railways
@@zangryomani1257 Yep, the A1 was based on the K4. Gresley initially used the GNR C1 for the draft but after a tour, he decided to use the K4s as a basis.
I will admit, the Train Simulator model of the K4 doesn’t look that good, but the K4s IRL do look good. Maybe you’d like them more if you researched them
I respect your opinion because I like the j94 (aka the 0-6-0) and the k4 (which is from American btw) but it’s ok that some people hate the locos I like
Hey Oliver, I wasn't sure if there are any dlcs of the reading blue mountain and northern 425, or the Boston and main 3713, but the two of those would be an interesting race... If train simulator has those locos though
It’s a Pennsylvania K4 which was the best for the Pennsylvania railroad because it was the best locomotive that was in the PR they always do use it for special occasions on the PR for help or service and sometimes passengers and freight
Yes, the American engine you put in the race is a Pennsylvania Railroad K-4 class steam engine. And personally the engine I hate the most is probably the Class 55, but the engine I like the most is the K-4 as I live in America
The Tank engine on the Far left is the LNER J94 / MOT Austerity 0-6-0T. They were built for heavy shunting duties during WW2, and were incredibly successful. Nearly 500 were built and they were nearly as powerful as the Black 5s. They survived long after the war in industrial use for the NCB and in other industries, with some still in use in the early 1980s. They were incredibly durable and powerful. They're loved by preservation groups because of this, with 70 being preserved.
If you didn't know already the class 55 deltic replaced the A3 class locomotive AKA The Flying Scotsman which is probably another reason why he would hate the class 55
@@LMS5935 well, it depends on who you talk to. Americans will say the pacific was invented and named by the Missouri Pacific railroad and New Zealanders will say the Q class pacifics were named after travelling over the Pacific Ocean. either way, the class is an evolution of the Atlantic type and named accordingly.
Here’s an idea for the next race: Blue vs Green. Pick any tank engine, tender engine, Diesel engine, or high speed trains in those colors. Set up in groups to represent them (ex.have the tank engines be next to each other) Have them either race with just the locomotives themselves or do a strength challenge. The 1st team to reach the end will declare which engine color is the best in whatever type of race you’re gonna do. And as a bonus, you can include any Thomas & Friends characters that’s either Blue or Green. (Especially in doing a Strength challenge)
If I had To choose a locomotive that I truly did not like, but still respected why it was constructed, that would be the Pendolino! It just looks like a sausage with the tip cut off at an angle.
I personally like the K4, but I do respect your opinion. Just do some research on the K4. But I do agree with you on the class 220 and 55 and the old black 5
To be honest I like all trains no matter what they look like but anyways on with the point I have a race idea instead of the trains going forwards do the race going backwards in reverse to see which is the fastest going in reverse =) =3
I want the worst trains from Oliver so that I can create tracks if I can figure out and put a yard in with a museum in it with just the black five and the class 55 and other stuff so please Oliver transfer these worst trains to my train simulator classic game please I begging you Oliver I live in Washington state USA I live in somewhere there in kitsap county
ngl, as soon as ye straight out said that ye were gonna have a race with the locomotives ye hate, it gave me a great laugh, mate(also from yer quick summary of the Pennsy K4). X'D Personally got nothing against any of these, but don't find 'em too sought after either, just 'meh' both at worse and best.
