The Palmer station is still there. It is now the "Steaming Tender" restaurant. Me, the wife and son went there several times on Sunday mornings for a very nice breakfast buffet prior to Covid. Based on your flyby the building looks spot on. Nicely restored interior with many period accoutrements. Kudos to the asset designer. Thanks for the video.

I live about 40 minutes from palmer. With my father I've had many lunches at the Palmer station (now a restaurant) and chased a couple freight trains with him to warren (hotshots we've clocked up to 65 mph). Been going there since I was 2 and go there till I'm 92.

Fingers crossed this movie gets nominated for best documentary at the Oscars.

I tested that new Alco PA that came with this route and I reached 114 mph on the flat level track of the Jet Trains Route. Google says that the Boston and Albany was fully dieselized by 1951 (idk if thats correct or not maybe a B&A or NYC or Massachusetts Rail historian can verify that).

One thing that caught my eye: To my recollection, we have not had heavyweight RPO's as rolling stock before. They were around as scenery objects as far back as the CSX Hanover Sub, but as far as I know this is the first time we've been able to actually add one to a train.

Hope like hell someone does an enhancement pack for this. I was born in Worcester and grew up on the railroad tracks on East Mountain street and the summit. Remember these rolling though in my early years. Love the route…the locos…eh. Not so much.

The highest summit on the B&A is in Washington, MA there used to be a sign to tell you that you were on the highest point on the B&A but unfortunately it has been stolen.

Springfield was a division point. Boston crews would end their operations in Springfield and Albany crews took over in Springfield and took their first orders in West Springfield.

I wish this route had the NYC branch that went from Brewster to the Bronx (Sedgwick Ave) and the small connection that went to Getty Square in Yonkers. I believe it was the Putnam (Old Put). I live near Van Cortlandt Park and walk the old trail where the tracks use to be.

I can't wait to run this route when there's inevitably enhancement packs for the diesels and scenery, plus DSG's J3A Hudsons will be an absolute TREAT to run on this route. Hope we can get a couple more steamers, B&A loved their berkshires, or say an H10b representing the hundreds of 2-8-2s NYC used all over, I don't want every engine that ever ran on the B&A just enough to reasonably immerse myself in some steam era scenarios. DSG is working on a Niagara which will be absolutely incredible here. I think you're spot on about the cars being there for forward-dating "retro packs" which is kinda lame, but I guess they're going for a "broad strokes" kind of approach where the route is sort of one-size fits all for any scenario you wanna make from say the 30s thru the 60s or 70s. If they do make retro packs just please give us some good diesels, be they NYC or Penn Central, just, don't rehash the same crap, please. Give us some new stuff, like EMD E7s, or a new GP35 model, some open-air autoracks would be AWESOME. I always love when a new railroad makes an appearance in TSC because there's almost always a wave of content that follows, I just hope it's good content, for the sake of the 'Central.

Personally id just forget the FA was there because the FA and PA are basically the same, except for it being better.

The devs absolutely should do a patch for all this. I am not buying it as it is and at this price, even with the 10% discount. The PAs would leave me wanting. As it is, the best things are the RS3 which I already have, and the route, which also needs much retouching. I respect the work that was done, but a simulation is only as good as the immersion is, and the PAs as they are make me think of the days of MSTS. And those modern cars...smh...

Nice Camera work smooth I almost though the game was doing it at first then I thought about it ha-ha. PA1's is My all-time Favorite Passenger Locomotive just a Sexy looking unit they are, the Lehigh Valley PA had a bunch of them at one time. Problem with these older units such as the PA1 is unless you do massive amounts of research finding anything on them you'll never be truly 100% Realistic it's one of the Reasons why you never see the C&O M1 Turbine Unit modeled as because there are No videos or Audio sounds of it, years ago I went down to DC Congress Library looking research on a bunch of old locomotives M1 Turbine being one of them and DC had 2% info on it. I do find it very funny and a huge waste of space the PA1s front nose is 98% bare nothing inside except some wires and the Brake wheel stand as you would think the Bathroom is there Nope it's not just like any of the F units for some reason there on the conductor's side at the Rear in the Body. I've always loved the Delaware and Hudson Silver & Baby Blue paint scheme. Love Alco units especially the RS3 as I still see them run mainline here in PA near Scranton Delaware & Lackawanna railroad has 4 of the RS3 still active along with 8 other different units it's a Sight to see them with No help from modern Units. Most people don't even know the RS1 unit was the reason every Locomotive after it has to have a F at the front steps of each loco to give crews heads up on what side the Front is. 1:09:38 Whoa slow down their sonny Notch 8 I believe a bicycle moves faster than that. One of the most recognizable automobiles of the 1960's was the Station Wagon 86% of America population at the time has owned one that's how popular they were. The lightweight cars appear to be re-tooled DTM cars

This route is set in the late 50s-early 60s or so. Might explain why there's no steam.

Tried to do a vid, and got an interesting error. Theres some interesting missing scenery too lol. Overall it's pretty sweet though.

In defense of the PA’s prime mover sounds, no sounds for an ALCO 16-244 exist because there are no surviving 16-244s in any shape or form to record from. Could they have gone with the next best thing and put in 12-251 or 16-251 sounds? Sure, but I would still be a bit lenient on the prime mover sound.

The automobiles are wrong for the era. He didn't even bother to do some 50's or 60's cars and trucks. By the 80's and 90's the New York Central had already become a fallen flag RR.

I keep coming back to this vid trying to find a reason to buy this route. In vain. Such a disappointment. I wonder if the devs are aware of these reviews. Do they even care? I wish we could sit them down for a chat. The absolute killer for me is the "advanced brake scripting" which the devs seem to think is a winner. It just kills the immersion for me. I cannot drive the F3 pack that came out a few months ago, not even after someone felt compelled to ameliorate the brake screeching sounds in the cab. I had such high expectations for this pack. I'll buy it when these issues are corrected and / or when it goes on sale (and no, 10% does not qualify as a sale for me).

wow that loco looks really bad for something created recently. Like old Flight Simulator 2004 freeware modeling.
