That is bánh gai, a specialty from Nam Định province, they use leaves of the plant to dye the rice powder in black and get unique taste, gai is the name of the plant. Nam định is the homeland of phở and Trần dynasty who led Đại Việt ( name of Vietnam in the past that means great Việt, while Việt nam means Việt in the south to distinguish to other Việt from Southern China esspecially from Guangdong and Guangxi province who were Sinocized) 3 times defeated Mongolian empire in the 13th century
Thank you so much for your comment and for sharing your knowledge!!! I will know next time to ask for Banh Gai 😋 Your knowledge of history is amazing 😁
Hello Henry, I am the waiter at the café you visited today. I really enjoyed your video, especially the scene where you were looking for a seat on the train. Most foreigners are surprised by the chaos when finding a seat at the station for the first time, but once you get used to it, you might find it quite interesting, like a cultural characteristic. I'm still looking forward to your video about traveling and experiencing food in Da Nang ❤
Hello Hoang, Thank you for your comment! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video ☺️ I definitely found it interesting and next time I’ll know what to expect! Will definitely be posting some videos about Da Nang soon. Maybe see you at the cafe tomorrow 🙂

Ahhh so interesting!!! We didn't think it tasted like much but the texture reminded me of a bean. Bobby said the one she ate exploded in her mouth and she wasn't a big fan of it.
