When I listen to your music and that of Mark Knopfler, it's impossible to miss the influence of Chet Atkins on each of your guitar styles. To me, you've both far surpassed his talent, but he led the way. Love your music! Chet'd be proud.

I was so lucky to see him live once. GOAT in my opinion.

I've watched this whole concert. One of his best he ever did. Amazing!

Classic Tommy. Delighting guitarists and non-guitarists alike. Probably at the end of a very long week on a very long tour, performing over 200 times a year, but still full of unmatched drama, humour, joie-de-vivre, sensitivity, and of course - class!

Even gave us a free Waltzing Matilda 😢 wasn't expecting that

People don’t realize it takes 40 years to play with that speed, accuracy, confidence, and listen to how hard he hits the strings on the neck while playing. No one does that these days. Untill you have spent the months to simply learn one of Tommy songs, then the years to practice to become fluent enough to start the actual practice, and about 10 years later you feel like you got somewhere close when a kid goes that sounds like a Tommy Emmanuel song, and I’m like ya been working my whole life for this moment haha, he thought I sounded like Tommy e. Me to myself. Not even close I need to practice way more and age a few years. Pretty much never stop improving on the song, and Tommy does 1000’s of songs, at any time he could just pull a tune out of his pocket and play for hours. You are my hero man

This DVD was my second Tommy purchase. The first was the Fingerpickers CD with Chet. (Everyone should own it). In 2004 we saw Tommy live and he set my son on fire for the guitar.
