I’m so glad you guys are continuing the AMD 103’s as a Genesis product and also creating new runs every year. Us Amtrak fans greatly appreciate it there aren’t many other companies that produce high quality and accurate P40/P42’s so this is a relief and was well overdue for many!
you guys should do a model of the 109 in Phase V. to my knowlege it is the last P42DC as of 2024 to still have the original as-delivered nose configuration. and also a run of the P32AC-DM used on Amtrak Empire Service and Metro-North with an AC prime mover and third rail shoe.
I recommend some undecorated models. I want to do a few 40th anniversary units. I also have a couple of the recently released P40 that I can't get the emergency light to work on the DCC/sound equipped models I have.
When could we see Amtrak models for their different passenger trains? It would be fantastic if Athearn offered the "Cresent" for example. Kato did the Auto Train in N-scale
We can look into it if we get enough requests but it will depend on licensing. The Veterans association in Canada did not want us to make that unit in HO so our hands were tied.
