Thank you. Insults whether they are well intentional or unintentional does prick our fragile egos. The shock and impact of the insult is more pronounced in case you were unprepared and approach the situation with naivety and the milieu of course has a bearing. We human beings have an innate cravings for attention and self importance. The self defense mechanism is our brain ensures that we detest and stay away from people who exhibit verbal and non verbal hostile behaviour. Handling insults gently is not cowardice, it's maturity and self control.
