In this video you will see Tyler Muto working for the first time with Nugget, a fear aggressive, semi-feral Caribbean Potcake dog who just arrived at his training center. When working with dogs like this, Tyler prefers not to follow a pre-determined, step-by-step approach. Rather, Tyler is carefully reading the dog moment to moment, and creating a dialogue through mutual understanding. In this video, you will see Tyler providing Nugget with very subtle give and take, to demonstrate to her that she is being listened to just as much as she is being given direction.
With an emphasis on taking your time and listening to the dog, this is a great example how Tyler begins the process of rehabilitation for fearful dogs.
