Great Repo and Using some good Internet Skills!!!, I go after a lot of ghost orders, I have 2 facebooks male and female decent to average genders and if a debtor is single or looks like they may bite that I'm seeking to repossess, I will talk to them and set up a date, meet at a bar... of course we know what happens next!! they get hooked!!! I've pulled a lot of expensive car's that have been in collections for years, out of a local watering hole
@sidsixpoint7 ...and if this is embarassing to her or anyone else then that's how you view the world. I am only showing an objective perspective of reality and if people are embarrassed of having their vehicle repossessed because they think the world will see them as less than in some way then they may consider legal obligations to be more important in the future. We all learn from adversity so I am helping alot of people to get clearer perspective of their lives choices.
@sidsixpoint7 Over the years I have had a number of people becomes close friends after I repossessed their vehicle. I get to know people so well while looking for them that I can identify characteristics in them that let me know they would be fun to get to know. They have told me on many occations that it took me coming out to take their car to wake them up to the reality of choices they were making that led to that day. I appreciate your comments because they make me think of everything!
I notice that a lot of the women you repo from are hot. Not all of them but a lot of them are. Do they ever try to influence you to let there car go other then trying to pay for it?
@sidsixpoint7 It is a publc area and license plates are protected by federal law so there is absolutely no way you or anyone in the free world can locate her by this video or her plate. Cops and other people of authority could abuse their access rights but I have no control over illegal activity of others. Each person is informed that we are video and audio recording everything.
so many comments faulting the repo man, He is not the one who missed the payments, ignored the lenders calls and hid the collateral. Granted some of these people that are up for repo are there not by their own fault but by the economy itself, With that being said if they were to work out some kind of arrangement with the finance company they not only would get to keep their vehicles but might end up with a better deal in the process. Fact is the finance company does not want to have to repo a vehicle they loose to much money this way, They would much rather work with you and loos a little money than not work with you and loose allot. Most of the vehicles up for repo on this show i have noticed are much older than the initial loans would have been for which suggests to me the owners of the vehicles in question went and got a title loan on the car, These places WANT you to default on your loan as many times the loan that you get for the car or truck is much much less than the vehicle is worth so if you don't pay your payments on the loan they come collect your vehicle and get double even triple the money for what they paid out to you in the loan. That is just how so many of these title loan places work not much different than a loan shark but without the leg breaking. A childhood friend of mines Dad was in this business of loaning money on cars, I remember staying over at their house on numerous occasions overhearing the dad discuss some of the day to day business he had done and on several occasions i remember him talking about some customer who didn't pay their loan and that he was happy as he tripled his money when he went and took their car. Some might view this as bullshit or even shady business practices but it is good business, Fact is businesses are in business to make money period what my friends dad used to do was just good business, It was not his fault people got a loan and then were unable or unwilling to pay back the loan.
This comment comes from someone with a picture of a middle aged white man and that is what I would expect. "Fact is businesses are in business to make money period what my friends dad used to do was just good business," which lacks ethics or morals. So business can do whatever it wants as long as it makes a profit? These companies prey on people who lack education or desperate. You write "It was not his fault people got a loan and then were unable or unwilling to pay back the loan." but it is his fault for making a loan to someone unable to repay by the terms he set and presumably his terms were designed for the borrower to be unable to repay (you ignore that part, typical white man) You give business the benefit of the doubt and automatically side with it. Call it a bank and you give it great prestige and credibility and assume it to be good and without fault. You must have missed the news stories about Wells Fargo and Bank of America or people like who the movie Wolf of Wall Street is based on. You state "Fact is the finance company does not want to have to repo a vehicle they loose to much money this way," and you know this how? You don't know this but you made the assumption based on nothing. Then you contradict yourself with you childhood story where the loan originator admitted to making great profit and wanting to repo the car. So which is it? You say don't fault the repo man. Right, but we can fault him for who he CHOOSES to work for. Because ultimately, to you, it all about a persons choice. So if he chooses to work with a company that sets up immoral and predatory loans taking advantage of people because it is the only place willing to make a loan to them (perhaps to stop eviction?)- that IS on him. Since you were exposed to people like your friends dad it is not surprising you think like you do. Sure the fault is shared but maybe you should think more sophisticated by including that some of the lenders set up traps and a loan impossible to repay and made to people who the bank you portray would deny. Sophisticated thinking would include consideration of the borrowers motives, circumstances, youth, and lack of education. But that is not as easy as just picking a side instantly and without that. Please sir explain to me why is it the borrowers fault and not the lenders fault for the situation.
A while back one of my clients went on a mission; checked the insurance on all his vehicles and out of nearly 500 open loans about 70% either had no insurance or took the dealership off as the lien holder and he had me repossess them all for breach of the contract which required them to maintain full coverage insurance for the life of the loan. Kept me busy for weeks; Those mom and pop Buy-Here-Pay-Here joints where gold mines back in the day! Sadly some of the people; even though they where current on their payments dropped their insurance so they got the hook; others changed insurance companies and listed the lien holder with the new company and they just never notified the dealership of it; those where the ones I felt bad for and that got their cars back with out additional charges. This all because one guy that didn't have insurance and totaled an SUV while drunk driving on a DWI suspended license and walked away owing over ten thousand on it and told the dealer to pound sand.
It can see that way but no it was not to rub her nose in it but infact to give her fair warning that she should start setting up a ride home now instead of at 5pm when she gets out of work. Plus we like to allow them to get personal items out that may be of value or important for work. Not everything about this job is being a DICK!!!
Its unfortunate that there is an audience to support such shows but the reality is people like to see other people hurt and embarrassed and sitting in their living room secretly hoping someone will get punched or shot at gives them their rush or high. This transpires into the real world and affects all recovery agents safety because people actually behave like what they see on TV and think that this is how repossession should go down. Drama TV is not new it's just been reborn in these shows.
On the videos where I show ppls faces I had to get them to sign a consent form allowing me to legally use their identity for the video. So it just makes it easier to not show their face so I can avoid having to get the form signed on every repo. I have thousands of videos I will never be able to air because they told me to fuck off when I asked. So we just leave it alone now and try to not show their identity.
Showing this womans liscence plate like that could lead directly to her identity. Since this went down without incident, what is the purpose of embarrassing her on youtube? Shouldnt you be blotting out her plates and her face?
Day 5: It's 3 am in the morning, I have to go to work tomorrow at 6 but I can't seem to stop watching this videos...It almost seems as if I were in some kind of hypnosis...I think I'm going crazy, am I crazy? I don't seem to be crazy, I'll get into that tomorrow, I can't take more time with this diary as I feel the need for more...If you are reading this please help me.
I can't stand it when I go into an office, and the receptionist (or whoever it is that sits at the front desk) acts like you aren't even there for a minute. When people come into where I work, I immediately drop what I'm doing (if it's not assisting another customer) and help them.
@DavidFC3S311 Because she most likely know's the car is out for repossession, her facial expression was quite confusing but 8 out of 10 people will feed you a BS story or start crying for sympathy with the famous "I paid my payment"... It's hard with time's like today because WE are all struggling at time's to keep what we have!!!
i got a short wheel base f-450 2008 for repo and man, that truck does wonders when it comes to tight squeeze all controlled inside ... im about to get a hideaway on another truck but if you dont have one i recommend them
I don't get why she acted surprised that you were there to repo if she knew who you were when you tried to repo before and she ran. But as far as showing faces goes you could just blur their face out or just have the audio from the part where you see their face.
She seemed genuinely surprised. I wonder if her husband pays the bills and screwed around with the money. Either that or she's acting. Companies are very impatient these days. I had my Comcast internet service cut off just for being 3 weeks behind with the payment. I was going to pay it in two days but they wouldn't listen. I paid it anyway and then had to pay an additional $50 to have it hooked up again.
that's really kool looking job you guy's are doing. I would love to get in this kind of business out here in California is their anything that some one could tell me how to get in this business with the repo industry without any experience in this type of work.
+Darron Perkins Like anything you can try working for an established repo company until you know enough to start your own. I think that's how reponut got started too
i was hoping to see the "in action event" as i am new to this industry. Needless to say ive been doing this for 2 months and w.e agency this is, they are wayyyyy out of compliance!!!!!!!
@RepoNut I was looking for reasurance her identity could in no way lead to anything embarrassing for her, not the actual loss or repo of her car. You are correct that is her own problem. Having her car repo'd is not what I viewed as embarrassing. Thats her own fault. Having herself broadcast on the internet was the referance. How are you helping people get clearer perspectives of thier life choices? was that statement related to the uploading of the no-incedent video?
@RepoNut Well hopefully when you pulled up all her info when getting her name right ect no one can make out whats on your computer as you recorded that too lol. Not to mention how easily the location name of the business she works at could now be aquired. People really do that kind of stuff :(
This is an older video and I noticed one thing. You showed the woman's face. In current videos you hardly ever show the debtors face. Since I know how professional you are Matt I believe that you are making a concerted effort not to show faces and I think that is good. No one in a situation with you wants to be on RU-vid and I believe you respect that. As always keep up the good professional work!
Did you notice the brake lights were still on! Usually happens when the brake doesn't come all the way back. Weren't on when you flipped it though. GOOD STUFF!!!
I'm always amazed at how people are so "stunned" that their car is up for repo. I think they have actually convinced themselves that they are entitled to use it until they save up the money to pay for it.
Sometimes you just really have no idea. I was unemployed and my car loan lender offered that I make half of my monthly payment until I could find a job. I didn't miss a payment and walked outside one morning to find my car gone. Despite it being their suggestion, it put me behind which somehow allowed them to repossess the vehicle despite still making payments.
Davie Parker most "spy shops" in big cities sell them but be careful where you stick em. Matt has the right to place em because he is a representative of the lienholder. placing a tracker on a car you don't own or have some form of conservatorship over is a felony in most states.
No offense Matt but wouldn't you rather have a job helping people versus taking their vehicles away from them? I could never do this to someone. In my opinion the only people that would get into this line of work is people that enjoy ruining someone's day and watching them in pain. That type of person isn't happy with their own life and want to make other people miserable. I've watched alot of your videos and it's obvious you get a rise out of taking their vehicles. My guess is you have no education or skills so towing cars is really the only job you can do.
***** No I won't give you a free car. Why the hell would I do that? I do however work at a large home mortgage company. I work 8 hours a day helping people who are in financial trouble try to refinance their homes so they can keep them. If there was a market for this Matt guy to lock people out of their homes or kick them out, I'm sure he would be the first person to sign up for it. Or better yet take people's kids away from them if they get behind on child support. Let the loan companys deal with these people who are behind on their loans. They loaned them the money to begin with. I guarantee this guy was a complete loser growing up and got picked on alot and that's why he enjoys his job so much. I love one of his comments on this video. He says " not everything about this job is being a dick all the time." lol. He even admits his job at most times is being a dick. So classic. He even went outside and laughed at the lady and made fun of her. What a tool. The other comment he makes that I really like is " hey I'm just like your mailman. I just deliver the mail." lol. Those two professions are not even similar in any way. One delivers mail to your house and the other takes your vehicle away from you. Total moron. Exactly why he is in the profession he is. Doesn't take a whole lot of brains to tow cars away.
These people make their own lives miserable buying cars that they cannot afford. I've been in their situation before, numerous times. Each time, I found that if you return your bank's phone calls and work with them, people like Matt do not come to my door. Now I drive an older car, but it's PAID FOR, and I don't live beyond my means, and I don't have to worry about the repo man. Unlike your clients, these people do not contact their finance companies and try to work thing out, Instead, they lie and hide the collateral like common thieves. It's hard hiding a house, but not hard hiding a vehicle. If people are stupid enough to try to buy something they cannot afford, I have no problem with Matt getting "a rise" out of taking their vehicles, especially if he has had to work hard to track down the vehicle's location because these POS debtors lie and cheat with the finance companies about their situations and their addresses. If you cannot afford the car, and you cannot afford the payments, don't buy it! ITS CALLED RESPONSIBILITY! (uh, what's that?) And if you stop working with your finance company and try to work something out, well, too bad. As the Rolling Stones song says, "You Can't Always Get What You Want". And that's the problem with the world, and with "people" like you. You want something for nothing. You don't even know the guy or his history, but feel free to rip on him. Whatever makes you feel better about yourself.
Tyler Braden Oh, and it takes a real brave "man" to hop on RU-vid and start ripping a guy for doing a job to help pay for his wife's Stage 4 cancer treatment, even though they don't have health insurance and he has since had to downgrade a rent a smaller house so he can be responsible and pay his bills and for her medical expenses.
Those repo guys ought to feel really proud of themselves: they confiscate some poor working woman's car who probably needs it to get into work, and then they gloat when she bursts into tears. Hah!! The 21st century is certainly the "Age of Enlightenment," isn't it?
If you can't afford the vehicle then don't buy it. If unforeseen issues come up then contact the finance company to work things out they will work with you. Don't wait for the repo man to show up and act all surprised when he takes your car.
@@JamesTTierce Well that comment was made 2 years ago and I had to go back and read the whole thing over. With that said yes it has to do with everything on their comment. The repo guy is just doing his job the comment that was made was degrading the repo man.
