Training a puppy to heel starts out slow and really just "bumping" them along. Reading the puppy is essential, and going at the puppies pace is also crucial. In this video, we begin heel training with Millie, a 16 week old puppy.

I really enjoy your videos! I just put a deposit on a Black Lab pup and she will be here on the 10th of June and then the housebreaking and training begins. I find your videos very helpful to prepare me to set her up for success. I purchased your puppy training video and plan to use it.

I would also recommend checking out our DogBone Training Library on our website, which includes all of our "DVD" stile videos like the puppy one you bought plus over 140 hours of training series and videos that aren't here on RU-vid, plus a bunch more. The more you can learn and be prepared prior to getting the pup the better you will be. I actually just posted a podcast on that topic.
