You are blessed. And so is she, to have you to teach her the way to go.

She is so cute, I always say if I'm in a bad mood I just have to call my grandkids and everything is better. At least it helps.

You are a great father. Kids need to be taught how to survive in a rural setting. You can't be too careful.

CUTENESS OVERLOAD ya have here FLBullfrog! You're a great dad teaching your li'l one to stay clear of ALL snakes and yeah like ya say, if there are any non venomous snakes, like hog-nosed snakes, well, she'll know how to distinguish them from the venomous and be safe always when she's a bit older. :)

Love what your teaching her and your plans for more specifics later! Just a question, maybe an old wives tale....if you lay down an old hemp rope most snakes will not cross it. I have found this to be true to a point. Pygmies, timbers, and canes have not. But I have had rat snakes and racers cross it. I live on the edge of a conservation area and have had issues prior to using the rope.

I had a pet python back in my younger days and she was a calm mild snake. When I got married and had kids of my own I knew I didn't want them growing up thinking all snakes are like that. So I got rid of her. Definitely important that our kids aren't necessarily scared of snakes but can respect them and what they can do.

Do you think that’s the same timber rattler that you moved off the road in that one video

I don’t think. It was about a mile’s difference and small ones this side are common this year. Must have been a good breeding season last year assuming these are yearling snakes.

I am not sure. This year I’ve been keeping them mostly for myself. I’ve done a little trading between myself and other breeders who breed for survivability and what we’re seeing is USPS has been destroying egg shipments. So I’m also concerned about starting to sell in mass again and eggs not arriving well. I am considering switching to local pickup only.
