Training 'AGGRESSIVE' Cane Corso To Stop Attacking Other Dogs. Cane Corso's are often branded as dangerous and aggressive because of their size however in this consultation Will trains a Cane Corso that has been involved with the police to see if it really is aggressive or not by bringing another dog in.

I’m so glad you were safe because of your wonderful dog! I also had a man break in, and my two Shihtzus did their very best, but he just stepped over them. 😅 It gave me enough time to arm myself and scare him back out. Since then I’ve added a trained Rottweiler and I sleep much better. 😂

As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home ru-vid.comUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. His training techniques and tips really work. Thank you as well for dedicating your life's work to rescue dogs, and to rescuing those of us who want the very best for our 4-legged family members.

@@ihop1988 Hmmm, seems that this is a dog living at home and being walked around the neighborhood. Do you think he's guarding cattle or hunting? Would you mind elaborating on why cropping and docking isn't common with bullmastiffs, English mastiffs, Tibetan mastiffs, Rhodesian ridgebacks, Rottweilers (ears), etc...? Are those dogs lesser guard dogs, or do they have better ears?

Quick message to thank you, for all your precious tips and lessons. You have provided so much to help our Aussie Shepard. She is now 7 months old and she has the same type of behaviour: she gets crazy around her dog friends (pulling, barking, etc). Never shows signs of aggressivity, but she can get really excited when it is time to play. We will definitely try this routine with her. Cheers from Montreal, Canada

So interesting to watch. My daughter is planning on getting a new mastiff in the near future. She has done good with her others but I have encouraged her to check tour channel out. She works from home in a rural area and her French mastiff came to her rescue when she had an intruder. I worry about her safety since "Ducky" passed from old age. So glad she is getting another guard dog.

This is great. I did your puppy course with our female corso. She did really well, walked on a heel, however, whenever I would walk her with my six year old or now my infant too, everything goes out the window and she is protective and pulls. I’d love to see how you fine tune a dog with a mother owner walking with children. I think it’s vastly different then doing it solo. Any help would be great. Thank you!

I absolutely love this! All I’ll say for such a calm boy who clearly has been given quite a bit of training already would you not be able to get him to engage and listen with a pop on a slip lead instead of prong? I’m curious xx
@1packatak
@1packatak 2 года назад
You could. The prong will likely get his attention better with less force. And there is always a risk with injury from a slip collar, much less so from a quality prong collar as used in this video.

If I could go back and use the prong collar as soon as my pup was big enough I would have in a heartbeat… used a slip lead for first 8 months of my Ridgebacks life and although he is an amazing dog and we have a good relationship, the excitement and reactivity when meeting new people got out of control as he grew older due to his size.. the Herm Sprenger prong in my opinion is hands down the BEST training tool you can get… within 3 weeks of using the prong, I got to the stage where I did not even have to restrain/leash my dog when meeting new people as the appropriate behaviour had been communicated clearly to him on the prong where as he used to literally choke himself out on a regular slip lead… try slip lead first but once he is old enough I would utilise the herm sprenger to fine tune like Will is doing here… best 20 quid I ever spent in my 1 year of dog ownership!

Thanks for some great videos. Our dog loves to meet people, both adults and kids and gets along great with other dogs while off the leash. But a growing issue is when she passes other dogs being walked, she starts growling and aggressively barking, almost like she's trying to protect us. She does well with other dogs being slowly introduced to her when both are collared and leashed. Any video or suggestions you can recommend? Thank you.

My dog isn’t aggressive but he is reactive. I know he won’t bite another dog but I’m afraid he’ll get bit. He has a good heel walks on a loose lead slightly behind me and is disciplined (still trynna dial in his engagement though) but turns into an 80lb asshat when he sees another dog. Today I tried the foot placement thing and claimed the space in front of him while he sat staring at the other dog across the road and he didn’t bark or act crazy. Usually if I make him sit he’ll still bark like he’s trying to convince the dog to come play with him 😂. He stayed quiet this time. That’s insane! Not ready to try that in close range but it’s a start. Thank you! Btw: he’s perfectly fine and calm around other dogs out in public, he can pass inches away from one and won’t care. He’s only an ass in and around our neighborhood, I’m guessing that’s either a territorial thing or when he was a pup I let him get away with too much crap near home but not in public and I created a 1 and a 1/2 year old asshat.

@@amyh4032 Why are you here spreading misinformation? Zak George is literally one of the worst trainers in terms of behavioral modification. He trains the same reactive dogs for months at a time with no results... Why would anyone in their right mind listen to him? If you don't like the methods/tools used in these videos here just go somewhere else 🙄 No one wants to hear your anti-correction rhetoric.
@tenulihewavithana8958
@tenulihewavithana8958 2 года назад
@@emilka2033 Zak George is a horrible example of positive reinforcement. In fact, I would go so far as saying that he is a perfect example of how NOT to do positive reinforcement. Look up Kikopup, Dog Liaison, Simpawtico to get a better idea of what it is like to use positive reinforcement properly. Find some medium ground and understand that most FF trainers are not that good. Just like there are worst balanced trainers who literally abuse dogs like Jeff Gellman, but I dont lump abusers in with proper balanced trainers like Larry Krohn, Ivan Balabanov, Joel Beckman, etc... So dont lump Zak George or Victoria Stillwell into the category of positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement deserves a better image than that. At least respect positive reinforcement, clicker training. Understand that positive reinforcement only works on every dog if you are truly skilled enough, and that is a big problem the Positive reinforcement community faces now, there aren't many skilled or educated FF trainers to work with serious case dogs or do proper behaviour modification, 95% ( I am making up that number ) of FF trainers are at Zak George-level.

@@amyh4032 Yes there is. I have really tried loads of technics and tools. Patience, treats, love, kindness and he still lunges at other dogs like a wild wolf. It is very frightening for other dog owners. Max and I met over 4 years ago, when I became his 3rd owner. Max was just 8 months old. Bad owners, no socialisation and no training. If a tool is used correctly, there is a need for these training tools.

Beautiful dog love Cane Corsos for sure your training is awesome. I am curious because I like doing dog training also what do you say to people who have issues with the prong collar or training tool. In my belief it's not the tool it's how you use it that being said I'm not saying that there aren't tools that probably shouldn't be used for a training dogs. For example prong collar, E Collar, the slip collar and the halty all of those I don't see any thing wrong with using too help with training but you have to use them correctly and like you said in the video about the prong collar is lots of people are not using them correctly and that's why they're either not get the result that they want or it becomes an issue. We just got our 4 month old imported Cane Corso from Romania to the UK on Tuesday and he is so loving and kind with myself and my partner (the occasional growl when he isn’t sure we are who we are). We had family round yesterday as we thought it best to get him used to people straight away but he started growling all night constantly at them and then snapped 3 times and had his teeth out ready to bite. Do you think this is normal behaviour given it’s still new surroundings for him (4 days on)?
