Two of the best fro the JKA in their prime . Marvellous to watch as third is rarely seen anymore . Only Kagawa and Naka seems to be keeping it going . Meanwhile , Shirai is there at the very pinnacle of karate do

Dear autors, With all respect to your highe Karate ranks, let me add some methodoloigal imporvements. -distance- I Agree, is of the highest importance! Unfortunately, not all the opponents are willing to fight at!!. -Then come the angles, i.e. steppeing outside or inside of the line of fire, to avoid get hit!! -Yet more important is timing, or playing with it, -using semi-distance or so.t The thinga I have learned from old masters:_ When attacking , legs and limbs first, then body! - When defending, body first and then legs and limbs! Best regards. Paul, retired instructor of Goju-ryu Karate.

THIS IS TYPICAL Karate-Do unrealistic (non-contact/incorrectly timed & distanced) fighting technique Notice.. these type of applications are NEVER used in contact-combat sports or martial arts

There are no training secrets if you have a proper qualified instructor. The techniques demonstrated here we did in 70's and 80'already. The only " "secret" the Japanese kept to themselves is that their speed lay in the legs and that the reasons for the Westeners being so slow - they were top heavy. 😒
