Gentlemen, another great podcast that stays true to your tagline... Helping others fly for cheap! No cheaper way to earn your wings than the US MILITARY.

Going from graduating in 2019 not knowing what I wanted to do, then feeling even more lost because of covid, and spiraling even more after my aunt passed away at 29. I leave off with this. I didn’t catch the flying bug it caught me!!! I never felt such a strong calling before ever in my life to anything ever. Im glad to say that now I’ve got things figured out, met great people, and I’m driven by my obsession for aviation I’m more happier then ever to embark on my journey at 22. My thanks go out to the both of u guys for taking the time and effort to spread this knowledge as well as interviewing great individuals and having them share their story and knowledge. Thank god for letting me come across the world of aviation!!!

Good info. From the interview standpoint, I suggest interrupting to keep him from droning on lol. He’s a bit monotone 😴

Hey guys, love the podcast. I just got my private pilots license about a month ago and I want to have a career in aviation. I am 19 years old and a freshman in college studying mechanical engineering. Do you think it's good to have a trusty back up plan (like a degree in mechanical engineering) in case something goes wrong in the aviation industry? If so, what do you think the best route is to pursue a career in aviation and get my degree? should I wait until after college to grind it out or should I try to do it at the same time I get my degree?

Personally, I would transfer to another university that has a flight program if you want to continue with your degree. Otherwise, I would go to ATP or Thrust and expedite the process! I’ll be attending one of the two after I finish my PPL training

If you’re considering moving, check out the University of Cincinnati professional pilot training program. It has a two-year associates degree in aviation and the flight school is ran by Sportys pilot shop. After you get your two-year degree all your credits transfer and you can do a four-year degree in business or engineering after that.
