This video is part of our Hands of Wing Chun Series. Continuing from last video, today we will discuss a training tip. The double Tan Sau. We use the Double Tan Sau as a learning device to accelerate our learning and application of the Tan Sau. We'll also learn how to practice it solo with the proper energy.
Enjoy!

Very fascinating. Love the possible applications and the pure simplicity of the drill.

This is exactly the excercise I was looking for as I struggle to get the tan sau do the kind of slight pulling and deballancing of the incoming force. Thank you.

That would also be a good exercise just for any striking martial artists to help them keep their hands up. So many people drop their hands when fighting or sparring.

Great stuff as always Adam. In BaGua we call that "Monkey Offers Fruit" even though in the history of monkeys none of them has ever offered fruit to anyone. ;~) I vaguely remember seeing one video where it was called "Monk Offers Fruit" which makes a whole lot more sense but I was never able to find the video again. Also, it's a nice stretch to see if you can touch the elbows together as well as the wrists. Take care and be well. GB

Professor, a question. I noticed that the Tan Sao is more often used to intercept the opponents arms from outside than from inside. Could you please explain why in one of your videos? I'd Appreciate that. Have a great end of year and congratulations for your channel.

You can use two hand grips and say subhanallah a lot. That is kung fu.

Hi Adam. I'm late to your videos. It's a shame we can't see your feet in this video (I'll check this in other videos). Your footwork seems to be outstanding but I'd like to see positioning of your feet in relation to your body and hands.
