Zack man i just wanted you to know i started Oly lifting this year at 30 yrs old and its all due to you, clarence, and the sika boyz influence. Keep doing your thing and never stop because your are awesome.

I am 37 and I just started too, for the same reasons as you. Let's get this. I have a coach who is teaching me, and I also watch Zach and Clarence's tutorials.

"No one can effort for you" this is very big and true statement. Living in an area where weightlifting isn't a huge thing and 99% of the time the lifting I do is by myself, motivating myself to push through a tough session and be stronger than my mind is a challenging but necessary battle to face.

I see that you might be from Germany. Try to see if there is a local Weightlifting Club near you. Club fees at my local Club are 9€ for students etc and 13€ for adults and I could go there every day of the week (only open in the evening). There is a proper coach there who teaches you the lifts and has an eye if you do the lifts technically correct. Weightlifting is a Randsportart, they‘re mostly glad about everyone who comes around and is eager to lift.

As long as you’ve trained a bit and mastered the basics like squat and hip hinges and have the requisite mobility, give it a shot. Cal Strength and Torokhtiy and all the lads featured in this vid (including Clarence also) have awesome how to tutorials. Video yourself and go light, start with a broomstick if need be. Don’t plan for tomorrow what you can accomplish today.

So… I had those incredible Adidas Equipments, which that one lad was sporting, when they came out back, back in the day. I would give away my old shoes to younger lifters in a pass it on spirit. And I was like Adidas will always keep making awesome wooden heel shoes every Olympic cycle anyway. Haha, uh, yeah 😂
